If Sydney enquire about players Adelaide don't really want I'm sure they'll come to the party
Yea, it'll be different circumstances and i'm sure there won't be managers whispering about secret clauses and such. Both teams will come to the table if they can both get what they want I think.

Hasn't signed, paper rumour is he wants to leave Sydney

Two chances of Adelaide getting him
I imagine he'd fetch quite the haul of goodies if he was traded.

We would like him but I doubt that we would have much that would interest you. Port will have more to offer and they will probably get him unless he nominates us as his preferred destination. Players on the block that could be used in a trade:

Tambling
L. Thompson
Jaensch
Martin
A.Riley

Soft spot for Brisbane
Very, very tempting.

Unfortunately, stupidity isn't against the BigFooty posting rules. We'd depopulate the board if we banned all the stupid posts.
Is this like when everyone wanted me carded when I suggested trading Tippett? You even closed my thread.

You have a player, and there will be a gap between him and his replacement. Lets say it's 10%.

But by replacing him, you get something. And the difference between that something and the player HE replaces is 30%.

You do that trade. And it doesn't matter WHO the players are.

This is the direction all baseball/basketball/professional sport list managment is going. Data based and unemotional.

How does he go in the sanfl? Thompson that is
Thompson goes alright, probably one of the better SANFl defenders, the issue is he's shown no development in the past 3 years, he's barely improved since arriving at the club. Unlike Wayne's-World I do think he has something to offer at AFL level, his issue seems to be that he's caught between being a 3rd tall and a key defender. Wouldn't surprise if Sydney went after him, he's the type IMO that they'd back themselves to make a player out of, but wouldn't cost them terribly much.

 ...but true

No some player traits you can't coach out ........my big 2 issues with L.Thompson is:

1. He plays like a midfielder in a 194cm body .......his height is not used in his gamestyle

2. Watch him ....all good players hold their feet to varying degrees ...L.Thompson under any pressure ALWAYS goes to ground

These traits of good players do not fail you when you look ay history of good players

Or option B: Fremantle were idiots for trading pick #1 for Croad. Even crazy Vossy wouldn't make that trade today.
Yeah they would.

Croad was a #3 pick from a superdraft, athletic monster coming into his prime, who had stood up in finals...

The hawthorn faithful were distraught he was traded.

No no I agree, I'm just saying who goes to ground deliberately?
i agree ......some players in bending over to get the ball don't have the balance, strength over the ball , or confidence to hold their feet and seem more comfortable in going to ground leaving handball as their only option

I reiterate l>Thompson is the disappearing man

We see recent article on Shaws return .....article on many players EXCEPT Thompson

Looking fo KPD? ....which by the way IMO is a ruse ....but for sake of the discussion :

What's Justin Clarks situation ......is he in the second year of a 2 year contract?

Would he ......or shall i say "should he be a target"?

Id say Geelong could be enquiring about LT. Falcons kid , maybe more opportunities at Geelong. Not sure what they would offer. Perhaps just wait for him to be delisted , its hard to judge these days.

Has anyone hear anything about Crows talking to Menzel? Heard it at work surely its rubbish?
