How do you determine teams out of curiosity? Draw from a hat?
I'm going to ask someone from here to link each player and team to a number from 1-18, then I'll just use Excel to generate two random numbers.

Going to do the team selections now.

Igloo has kindly assigned each team - as well as each user - to a number from 1 to 18. I don't know which numbers are assigned to which teams, nor do I know which are assigned to which users.

I'm going to list the random numbers I've generated, then Igloo will reply with the team allocations based off of them.

User 7 gets team 2.
User 9 gets team 7.
User 18 gets team 11.
User 12 gets team 6.
User 1 gets team 4.
User 3 gets team 3.
User 15 gets team 8.
User 16 gets team 10.
User 5 gets team 18.
User 8 gets team 13.
User 17 gets team 1.
User 6 gets team 14.
User 13 gets team 5.
User 11 gets team 17.
User 2 gets team 15.
User 14 gets team 9.
User 4 gets team 16.
User 10 gets team 12.

I'll put the team allocations and draft pick order in the OP a bit later tonight.

I'm planning on beginning the draft on Monday sometime (whenever Minson 4 Brownlow! is online I suppose) in order to give everyone a bit of a chance to think it through and work out in their own mind what their targets should be, etc.

Until then, we'll run through a father/son bidding process.

From now until 12:01am Sunday (that's Saturday night in case there's any confusion), any team - aside from the one who has the rights to the player - may bid on any of the available father/sons. The team that bids the highest for the player will be noted down by me.

When Sunday comes, the team with the rights to the player will choose whether or not to meet this offer. In case any of you don't understand F/S bidding, if a team bids a first round pick, the team with the rights to the player must either use their first round pick to select the prospect, OR they can refuse, forcing the team that bid on him to use that pick as a selection. This works the same way. If this needs further clarification let me know.

The father/son prospects that I know of this year are as follows. Please let me know if I've missed any.
Jake Kelly - Collingwood.
Jayden Foster - Western Bulldogs.
Luke McDonald - North Melbourne.
Jydon Neagle* - Essendon.

Draft order will be put up in order to help you shortly.

*Note: In the case of Jydon Neagle, if any team bids a first or second round pick, Essendon cannot match this offer, and must let Neagle go.

If we're doing this, this Monday, how will we know who gets last pick (ie the Premiers?)
Just gonna go off current ladder positions with previous finals taken into account for now. I'm running another closer to the draft which will finalise picks after trades etc. Just thought it'd be cool to see how trade week changes the dynamics.

Damn, I got the hard one haha. Looks like I will have to dig deep into the drafts lesser knowns. Maybe I will just look out for which young players love the suppliments, will fit Essendons recruiting criteria surely :D

Brisbane nominate Luke McDonald with pick 8.

Dav1d if you want you can take Collingwood from me. You're a lot more of a draft watcher than many of us and I feel wrong taking a spot from you.

As long as Dannnnnnnnnn allows it.

Port Adelaide wishes to Nominate Luke McDonald with pick 13

Yeah, that's fine as long as you both agree to it. Whoever misses out will get first dibs at a spot in the next one anyway.

The bulldogs formally nominate Luke McDonald with pick #4

Truth be told, in the real draft North will take him at pick 7 but I wouldn't be upset in a parrellel universe if he wasn't a F/S selection and we got him at pick 4.

God damn you, Mofra.

North Melbourne bid their pick #7 on Luke McDonald. Or whatever the correct wording is. He's ours :p.
