Got a sneaky that Gibbs has been told to just focus on his footy, get the fire in the belly..looked focused and determined last interview ,lets just hope he can transfer it onto he field.

Gibbs =/= TamblingHasn't this already been discussed?
It's fairly clear...
If he has another season like 2012 where he was soft, uncommitted and unwilling to step up, then he needs to be traded.
We don't want to repeat the same mistakes with Gibbs that Richmond made with Tambling

Armfield?I would prefer to see Yarran getting a bullet like pass from Watson from a kickout, turn on the afterburners... laces it out to Gibbs on the HFF who then spots up one of our forwards with a pin point pass.
That being said... having Gibbs, Yarran, Touhy and Armfield who can all nail long range goals on the run is handy.
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/is-yarran-the-next-tambling-draft-clanger.546737/It depends where you are getting your info from. Mr X has it over the rest of us. Particularly those who can't get to the CBD on a regular basis.
to me, the player Gibbs most resembles is Jimmy Bartel.
the both read the play better than most, are versatile enough to play anywhere on anyone and link up well through the contest.
the main difference however is that Bartel is much more of a big game match winner.
See, I just don't get this. While not becoming the player we think he can all be, he's been a consistently good player for the Blues since coming to the club and will be just 24yo this season. You don't fry the kid off one poor season; which even then wasn't abysmal.
Even Alpha1 gave the X-Man a bake.Armfield?
Walker and Judd with the snap on either side.
Walker with the set shot.

There you go!
Gibbs to deliver.
I'm hearing you, but imo youth as an excuse (for want of a better word) is expiring fast for Gibba...this is his time...the time when he grabs the league by the nads and proves he's a far better player than the all too brief glimpses we've had thus far.
..as I've stated elsewhere, I'm expecting a shiteload from Bryce this year, and am more than confident he'll deliver.
Who is using youth as any excuse? I'm just pointing out the folly of torching a 23yo kid because of one average season, when he's actually been of the Blues best performers over the other seasons since arriving at the club.
Well I hope if Bryce plays a decent year but not to your shiteload of expectation, that you don't come calling for his head too.
Finally, I don't think I've ever called for anyone's head...I've been critical, no doubt, but I'm pretty confident there have been liberal doses of rationale and fairness in there as well.

Really? I mean, really? We must have been watching VERY different games last year then.
You said he was soft (bullshit), Uncomitted (Bullshiter) not willing to step up (Bullshitest). Come on bloke, he may not be the superstar that Judd/Murphy are, but he was performing a task last year that he was given. We all know he is not a true back flanker, but that is where he was asked to play and IMO he did a bloody good job. If MM letys him play in the mid field, where I believe he was recruited to play, we will see a very different Gibbs. Please name 3 games against decent sides after Rnd 5, 2012 where he truly stood up and made a difference.
I'd agree with the wing spot for Gibbs as well. I think he looks at his best in 2 situation:Play him on the wing. He'd be better off developing his midfield skills and enhancing his strength, versatility, and agility
