If you plan on watching this weekends SBK races just beware in a change to the races. They're racing at Laguna Seca in the USA this year instead of Miller Motosport Park in Utah and instead of 2 races on the same day there will be 1 race on sunday morning our time [7am I think] and then Race 2 will be monday morning at the same time.

I don't recall SBK doing that before

I hadn't noticed that and it certainly hasn't happened in my time of watching the series. Glad to see 'em back at Laguna though.

The championship chase really is heading towards an exciting climax with Laverty hitting strong form to finish the season to put him within striking distance of Tom Sykes who has finally taken the points lead after seemingly dominated the series for most of the year. Guintoli is of course in the hunt up to his eyeballs but just seems to lack that extra bit to win races instead of just consistent strong finishes and then there is Marco Melandri who is only a few points behind Laverty and if he gets on a streak as he is capable of then he is a chance as well. Speaking of Marco, it looks like he will be displacing Laverty at Aprilia next year with Eugene a chance to end up in the MotoGP paddock. Also of interest to Aussie fans, Broc Parkes will be wildcarding the last round in Jerez with his Yamaha Austria endurance team so hopefully he will do well.
