Despite having a better season than last year apparently Tom Rockliff is only going to poll 7 votes in the brownlow this season according to the AFL website..... sure.

Without looking at the website, that wouldn't surprise me.

Rockliff's second half of last year, where he polled all but two of his votes, was for mine better than any length of this year. Plus we were winning games.

Many of Rocky's big games this year were in losses, sometimes bad losses. It's pretty unlikely he'll get votes for his 40 odd touches against Adelaide and Fremantle, for example.

Thought Lewis Taylor was pretty stiff missing out on the 22under22 team.

A number of other first year players across the league were named, although no Lions players, including Lester and Aish weren't named.

Personally I thought Clarke and Green were our two best chances for that team. There were some notable absentees from that team which make no sense to me.

The AFLPA awards are very overrated. Most of the players know SFA. Good to see Rocky above Selwood though.

I see it about the least of all the awards behind all media awards and the like. No idea why any one makes a fuss over it.

I lost faith after Ryan Lonie didn't win toughest footballer.

Hard to be critical though when, from my observations, many a footy fan now sees the draft as the highlight of the season!

I noticed on one of the plethora of footy shows last night that they showed one experts AA side, can't remember who, and they didn't have Rocky in their 22.

Hopefully its not indicative of the outcome.
