White Lion doesn't feel "Brisbaney" enough. Or even "Fitzroyey" enough. I think the gold is a nice balance in between. But that's just my opinion (which I hold in high regard)

The white lion looks better with the navy/maroon colour scheme imo.

I agree with you when looking purely from an aesthetic point of view. But that small change to white just takes away that Brisbane Lions feeling. Would love a Brisbane supporter's view.

CANBERRA: Use of NSW blue replacing the orange. The ACT was too dark for my liking

Not sure the fine people of Canberra would be thrilled to have a NSW jumper.

I wonder if that could be done with a yellow lion on maroon and the old Fitzroy 80's blue, instead of navy blue?

PORT ADELAIDE POWER:
AWAY: the teal base jumper, they should use it
CLASH:
What about teal and white hoops, like a heritage clash? Would look a little bit like the Argentine Pumas rugby team.

Maybe they can use blue, light blue and yellow for a Canberra kit? A combination of NSW and ACT provincial colours?

They'd be best moving away from state colours and moving toward forging their own identity as a stand alone club. GWSFC that wear orange, charcoal and white. The fascination of making West Coast, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney/GWS de facto state teams from some Victorian "pundits" astounds me.

Don't unnecessarily recolour a prexisting design for the sake of it. GWS' Canberra jumper (if they even need one) doesn't warrant any new colours, it'd be brand dilution at its worst.

Well I think that particular problem is exacerbated by the fact that Adelaide and Brisbane wear their State colours as the predominant colour on their jerseys. They could have chosen different colours, but they were trying to attract an audience from across the State; likewise the Eagles have basically marketed themselves as a replacement for the WA State team, even having the audacity to wear our Origin guernsey as a heritage, so it's not going to be a stretch for people to equate them with State identities. It's the later entries, Fremantle, Port, Gold Coast, which have opted for a club identity rather than State ones, for very good reasons too.

As for Canberra, I'm sure there would be a few murmurs if a Canberra team didn't wear blue and gold at least somewhere on their guernseys. Being a GWS team makes it less of a problem though.

Since this is becoming a thread for every ones ideas, I think it's time for my regular call for a wings set.

I like them, but I dislike navy. We wouldn't need a clash if we just ran with royal for home, peril away. We've achieved absolutely 0 in navy.

It's realistic as the club will never get rid of navy. ;)
