Basketball is an "urban" game. This is what it's about in the USA. It is slightly strange to watch from here as we have a different basketball culture but just look at the demographic of the majority of the NBA and the culture of pick-up ball across the states. It's all underwritten by massive African-American influence.

Also, the NBA having Kendrick is crazy. No other professional league would have the guts to do that. Good on them.

If they tried to copy this vibe in an NBL All-star game I'd certainly cringe as well but this is spot on for NBA All-star weekend.
