Sam Mitchell (DEF/MID) - (yes a big chance)

Gee. Someone's being a campaigner. There's a chance for all of those to happen besides maybe Hanley... who Crazy Vossy is still playing in the forwardline a LOT.

Especially Grimes. Someone Doesn't watch Dees games. Literally spends all of his time in the midfield... but plays enough down back to warrant a DPP option.
Dangerfield is playing half of this year forward because walker is out.
Broadbent has spent the last 3 weeks in the backline.
Roughead has been playing in the midfield a lot.
All you hear about nowadays about Swan is how he is playing in the forwardline.
Walker has literally spent THE WHOLE YEAR in defence but switches enough to the forwardline to warrant DPP.
Harry O has spent a lot of time on the wing.
Bartel is the most obvious behind Walker.
Every swans supporter talks about how McVeigh needs to be a DEF/MID... they obviously watch more Swans games than you.
If you say yes to Pyke, why not Kruezer and Goldy? They play just as much time as Pyke does down there.

Stop being a tosser

He will be useless for at least 12 months after his return.

Why ? You reckon 3 yrs for that leg ?
Barlow was back in 1 yr. Rohans was far worse yes, but not far off now... if he doesnt play seniors till Rnd 1 next yr it would be just short of 2 yrs and after pre season games as well as ressies late this season. Would be cheap and every chance of dpp mid/fwd.

Okay so we are clear these are my opinions

Grimes - plays down back because that is where the ball is 90% of the time, note where he is selected most weeks and most weeks the majority of his time is spent in defence
Dangerfield is a mid and one of the elite mids going around - Wingard has kicked more goals than danger so does that make him a FWD/mid too - GAJ has kicked only 2 goals less than danger, actually by GAJ's stats he spends 35% of his time in def, hell lets give him all 3 def/mid/fwd. Even though he is widely recognised as the best mid we may ever see
Broadbent - wow 3 weeks in the backline....
Roughead as a mid - more likely he will be ruck/fwd again which is the right call for him
Harry O - yes he has spent time on the wing, also spent time down back, in fact majority of his time is spent down back running the ball from defence.
Bartel - as i stated earlier I beleive he should be the first ever all 3 options (not sure if this is even possible but here's hoping)
McVeigh is a mid and a gun, if his role continues to be that he regularly plays a half back qtr back role then there might be a case for that.
Pyke played the first half of the year as a primary fwd, - with mummy as no1 ruck, with mummy not playing pyke has proven he can handle both roles
Kreuzer is a crap fwd and carlton have stopped there ploy of gap filling him in the fwd line. Goldstein is not a fwds arse.

As for "being a tosser" - i have another idea, if you don't want anyone to reply to your posts then don't post. if someone has a different opinion than you don't automatically take it as a personal attack and lash out.

It is an opinion based forum not a personal attack club -

Enjoy BF for the forum it is

McViegh should be D/M, and he'll be the biggest lock when he is. So underrated.

Varcoe could end up as either a D/M or D/F - named and lined up in the backline for rnds 1 & 2, named in the forward line for rnd 3 and injured since. The club seems to like having Varcoe's run out of the backline and if they continue to use him that way he will have a change of position for next yr.

McViegh is a lock if def/mid rather him than little girl gibbs.Would still pick stevie as mid things will balance out if danger/sidespinkter/McViegh/etc have dpp.More than anything some mid rookies need to have DPP,?Gary rohan if rookie priced could be next years caffer Bock also.

Bock will sadly come back this year and play okay and will be priced at that awkward 350 - 430K range next year

Ben Reid, Jack Watts, Lachie Henderson, Jake Carlisle, Michael Hurley should all be DEF/FWD.

Which other talls get thrown back and forth?
Jack Watts & Lachie Henderson are already fwd/def there status will stay the same.Harry taylor maybe plus jimmy bartel fwd/back should be anyway. Also Some cheap backs in birchall/suckling/reilly.

I doubt anyone will pick him, but Cooney should be mid/def.

I've seen Kade Simpson play in defence a little this year. Any chance to be MID/DEF?
Also McVeigh will probably be MID/DEF.

Defence looks really good next year. Walker, Simpson, Mitchell and McViegh should all be locks for M/D.

It looks good but what's if Gibbs, Goddard and Heppell all become midfielders?

Gibbs should be def/mid still
Hanley might be def/fwd which would be damm nice
Goddard will b mid only
Heppell might keep both

Smitchell would be a good pick with both birch and suckling (both will be cheap) And back playing mitch might spend more time in the middle.Another cheapie for next year Alex johnson from he swans not a gun but soild player if around rookie priced would be a good pick.
possible 2014 backline Smitchell,Mcviegh,reilly,fwd/def,Ajohnson,rookie,rookie,rookie.With the cheapies might even have an extra defender next year after the carnage this year.
