Excellent way. If we get Weller and Neal-Bullen I don't care who else we get. We'll have won the draft :D
Weller is another classy outside mid who can go forward in bursts, joining Deledio, Ellis and Martin.

Neal Bullen is almost an identical player to Anthony Miles, so having the two will be mindblowingly good.

Glenn: Perfect replacement for Newy as a rebounding half back with good kicking skills.

Kova: Nice and big ruckman to fill our weak pure ruck stocks.

I think there will be a time when our recruiting people can take more risk but I'm not sure the list is at that stage yet. I lean more towards the idea that it's not. For example could taking for arguments sake a cockatoo net the club that much more than going with more "safer" options in Weller or Duggan ? I'll leave the answer to that to those better informed regarding the draft....

I wouldn't say mind blowing.
It's not like the game miles plays is some sort of irreplaceable dream. He had a nice year last year. But two of him wouldn't be that incredible....actually a little bit of a negative.
It's not like Miles can go forward or back to rest. He an undersized stoppage player. Having two of that exact same type wouldn't be that useful game day

This is a classic example of this kid being overrated. If he really is all those things he would be in talks for top 3. Apart from the draft camp his kicking has been a bit hit and miss I thought?

Weller is just as quick and is one of the best kicks in the draft.

Arguably Weller doesn't have the marking power, reach and speed though. Weller may not have the same inside game either

He also scored a few handy goals, always good as a mid. I can see him with a ful season improving on that.

Agree. We are just not quite there yet,Still some needs to be filled before we start taking some risks on players like Cockatoo.Would help if we actually win a GF or 2.Even someone like Grigg would fetch us a good pick.lol

The kid had 1 game to show what he had, In 2013 he was being talked about as a 1st rounder and has had an injury which stopped him from having that chance - Along with the fact that he has just turned 18.

He is not the finished product and everybody is trying to find flaws in his game (which there is ) But there are flaws in Duggan (speed) and others also
But none have the upside that Cockatoo has - Gee when Cockatoo is tearing it up in 4 years time we will say
Why the hell didnt we take him and took this bloke
