Conca is a good average player who hasn't come on like he should. Heppell was the clear choice at the time and we went Conca. He hasn't had a full pre season but Heppell is clearly a class above him.
Just keep getting gun mids this year. Also going to have to bite the bullet at some stage and draft a quality CHB.

Played with WHE at the Jets before being drafted and walked around like his shit didn't stink most of the time. Hence the I'll only go to Essendon stance he took heading into the draft. Unfortunately for him ambition hasn't been joined by ability once he hit the big time.
If the midfield got their shit together and deliverd the ball with some accuracy and system rather than holding it up with so many stupid passing to the wings and backs it would give the fowards the chance to do their job, also our foward coach is just hopeless but the talent is there
Riewoldt,Vickery,griffiths,Lennon,Lloyd,Martin there is well and truly enough talent there
So outside of Riewoldt you have listed:
1. A pea hearted, lazy player.
2. An injury prone, regularly dropped player.
3. A first year player who plays midfield/half back in the VFL.
4. A first year mature age player who cant get a game in a team with no good small forwards.
5. A midfielder.
4 out of the 5 you listed have been dropped this year in a side that has won 4 games.
You have just proved my point. The forward line is a big issue.
I thinks it's a bit of both.
We definitely need a bit of system and speed going into the forward line. I would hate to play in our forward line! Slow lateral ball movement helps the opposition backs man up with the forwards and at the same time allows the opposition mids and half forwards to flood our forward line giving the guy eventually trying to get the inside 50 kick almost no chance in hitting up a target.
But we also need more talent on the park. We need someone up forward that is an elite mark and a couple of very fast mids to compliment those we have.
Hoping the draft and trade period is good for us….
