$600k seems to be some sort of benchmark for the footy public, that you've got to be offered $600k x 5 years to warrant band 1 compensation. I don't understand this, as there's quite a few 26yo's who'd get $500k for 5 years (such as Frawley) and be worth more than an end of round 1 pick. If he goes for say 500x5, I won't be surprised if Melbourne get pick 3.

Depends what clubs really go after him and on what money. He does really seem to want to play finals footy, and i think he will maybe go to the best club that chases him rather than the best money. He could get bucket loads by staying at Melb. I get the feeling he won't earn them pick 4, unless he does choose a lesser club, like the Suns who will offer him more cash than the likes of the Cats.
