Wright hasn't really Impressed me in the two games I have seen him play. Petracca is the player I hope we draft

Time to hide him for 18months.

This years Draft is going to be very interesting. We could easily only have 1 live pick. I can't wait to see who we nab.

Looking at the stats Wright has put up when actually played as a forward, I'd be more than happy to take him.

In the couple of games I've seen of him, is it me or does he look a bit slow? I wonder how much separation he'd be able to get on the lead at AFL level. Be interesting to see how he tests at combine.

Has the right coloured hair to fit right in though.

Think I read that he runs the 20m in 3 secs flat. So decent speed.

Interesting, 3 seconds flat is pretty good for someone his height (Kreuzer was around 3.05sec I think). Might've just been the game I was watching.

Exactly, I would be rather dissapointed to take him with our first rounder and actually predict he'll slide. Only one viewing but I liked what I saw in Hammelman. Think we should take best mid (Petracca) as I can't see McCartin going past no1.

I am not against picking Wright because I know nothing about what the kid is capable of but I would be worried about picking a ruck/forward type.

Wigg, the SA MVP looks the goods as a left footed half back who may potentially be there for our 2nd round pick.

Yep. If we don't get Mccartin at 1st pick, then l would assume we go for a midfielder now. Petracca looks good.

I don't rate any of the forwards in this draft except for Mccartin and the saints look like getting him. Who would you take?

Durdin as my preferred (if McCartin is gone) but I am starting to think we may grab a mid. I have heard Petracca is rising up the ranks and could be a good get. If we manage to win a few more I wouldn't be against reaching for Weller at pick 4 or 5 but that is the price to pay to limit homesickness.

Hasn't Wright played far better as a forward pinch-hitting in the ruck than when he's been played as a genuine ruckman? Where has the talk come from that he will only be a ruck, or is best positioned in the ruck?

McCartin seems to have usurped him as the hyped up, likely no. 1 pick, but Wright's size, athleticism and decent skills (terrific for his height) could combine to make one hell of a player.

Opinions change pretty quickly around here. A few under 18 games don't really mean that much in reality.
Not so long ago some posters were convinced we had to finish at the bottom of the ladder to draft a forward.

I think he averages over 3 goals a game in the TAC cup, but has played mostly in the ruck for Vic Metro.
