I would have him the 10-20 group. His best is very good but he is also very inconsistent and disappears for games at a time. Skills are good when he has time not so much when he doesn't. He is a pretty slight build and has more in common with Aish rather than his brother. His ceiling I think is right up there but his chances of busting are much higher than I would be comfortable with using pick 5 on.

If we end up with pick 7 or 8?

Hi Quigs what do you think of Jayden Laverde? Haven't seen him play but write ups make him out to be a tall versatile player who can break the lines with his pace and be damaging with disposal. The player who we wish Jared Polec was with us, to round off our midfield group?

Normally those psychs have a few issues

At the Historical thing last night Tyler Roos said he'd be open to playing at Brisbane and Josh Clayton said he's absolutely a diehard Lions fan.

I don't know what it means in the whole scheme of things but obviously as a Roy I'd like to see these lads in our colours if they're going to be playing in the AFL.

Does anyone else see the draft turning out like this
1.stk petrecca
2.melb brayshaw
3.gws durdin/lever
4.bris mccartin

I think its a big possibility (praying melbourne dont get a priority pick or a band 1 compensation pick)

We're not gonna finish bottom four.

Yeah I knew my opinion on Mitch's football decisions wouldn't be popular, but I am not much of a prick.

If indeed Mitch does make a return to football next year, especially if through either WA team, there is at least a right to scrutinise his claims of depression, not saying it's not there but people should be able to question his motives.

If we do beat Freo, we will probably end up with pick 6 or 7 before priority allocations. Carlton are unlikely to beat the Bombers next week and the Dogs are no certainties to beat GWS.

McCartin wont get past Melbourne
Says who?

I think it is a possibility worth discussing. I can certainly see a distinct chance that, if McCartin doesn't get taken by St Kilda, he could slide a couple more spots down the draft.

Probable? Not at this point. But this year's draft is open enough that I don't think we should shut down conversation with definitive statements pretending to be fact when, in reality, we've got no idea at all what Melbourne will do.

Melbourne would love Petracca but Having a need for a key forward and Petracca going to StKilda in this situation do really think they will let McCartin drop. Realistically can't see it I guess we can dream though

You can't really predict what clubs will do to the point where you can categorically rule out something happening. This time last year, Twomey had Bontempelli as 14th on his top 20 prospects. As you mentioned, probably not realistic at the moment, but it's not outside the realms of possibility.

Rich and Aish were absolutely no chance to last until our pick in their respective drafts.. until they did.

Whilst I agree that McCartin just seems too good to last, you can never say never.

Although not everyone seems to agree that McCartin is necessarily the best key forward in the draft either.
Who knows, it all seems quite unpredictable at this stage.
