any help? Lever reminds me of Mackie/Maxwell, Durdin a bit like Henderson/Carlilse, Marchbank like Brian Lake or Fevola (with his marking), can't think of one for Goddard, maybe Brown from Collingwood?
really appreciate your efforts
Dav1d. it's exciting because i think our biggest KPP draft need is in the back half...
from your write up and others (and having seen very little of any prospects this year) i think lever may be the best player of the group. main issue is that he's unlikely to hold down CHB. evn if he is 'just a tall flanker', our list isn't exactly flush with tall, classy rebouding defenders. he projects as the player that is most likely to impact games of this group, with his ability to intercept and provide rebound. high character kid and leadership qualities add to the appeal.
the more i hear about durdin and goddard the more i like. goddard sound like a lump of a kid, with enough athletic ability and size to cover both hawkins and carlisle type forwards. sounds like a dependable KPD, and while this isn't especially sexy - it's vitally important. durdin sounds a gem at CHB with good skills and a high ceiling.
would love to trade into first round ~ 10-15 to get goddard, but don't fancy he's actually slid as far as BF posters would suggest. would then take lever as the best player at 5 and half back line is looking solid. if we're not in a position to draft goddard, then pick 5 is between lever and durdin (to hold down CHB). i'd still suggest lever as the more complete player would be the option at 5.
