I have it on good authority that we are keen on Abiana Davis from NSW. We have had 3 interviews with him and have been ringing references apparently (not sure what that means or involves). I am good mates with a friend of his. If Swans dont pick him up from their Academy then we will 100% pounce in the draft. 193cm, 90kg KPF/KPD. Anyone know anything about him?

needs more size and improves his set shots
Could be a great player in future

Going off that video -terrible goal kicking but pretty useful field kicking.

Agreed. Looking at Davis' highlights - moves well for a big fella!
can't say I am fan of that kicking action though :p Finlayson set him up very nicely and Davis took some good grabs
and he set up Finlayson a couple times in just those highlights to
think him and Wright could form a good duo ;)

Ok spending the day on the couch sick :(, but it has given me an opportunity to look at teams in front of us in the draft to see who they are planning to take.

Saints: McCartin or Petracca I can't see them not taking McCartin but there is some strong whispers that they are into Petracca courtesy of a Saints board member. Another two delistings are likely (Fisher and Schneider). Saints likely to upgrade three rookies (Templeton, Shenton and another one I can't remember).

Melbourne: Brayshaw or Petracca Roos apparently likes drafting for mids with top picks and this area is their weakest. Other area is defence Lever. Suggestions if they get a priority pick they might raffle it to the highest bidder out of us, Carlton, and Brissy for first dibs on Wright.

GWS: Petracca as well don't really need much else some talk of Brayshaw.

Brisbane: They want Wright but, if they get Paddy Ryder he will play as a forward so the would look for either a mid maybe Laverde or a defender possibly Lever (although they would have to draft for Ryder) The are also intending on taking players from their academy in the draft a couple of good players there apparently.

If St K take Petracca, who will take McCartin? If Melbourne want mids and Bris get Ryder, is there any chance he would fall to us?

Does a Frawley compo pick of 3 help or hinder our chances of getting Wright? I see Brisbane taking Wright even if they land Ryder. Unless McCartin is still available

Those highlights aren't exactly making me excited by any means but to be fair its all from the one game. He looks like he's got a little bit to work with. I do like the idea of building a forward line just filled with low 190cm mobile beasts. Just sit Wright in the middle of them.

Don't like the idea of taking speculative KPP with our 2nd/3rd/4th picks and potentially wasting them. If they merit that position then thats fine but not to take them simply for the sake of taking them, they need to have AFL talent. Regardless it would probably take 5-6 for these players to come on. Would prefer to use those picks to draft best available (providing it isn't an inside mid). We need high quality talented KPP which will be at the higher end of the draft.

I really rate Lonie sweet skills and just could be anything
Yeah, he has some tricks about him.
Really liked his game last weekend.

Not sure what to think about Cordy though.
I wouldn't be surprised should you let him slide on the strength of what I've seen of him, at least.
F/S's can be a romantic notion but that doesn't always net you a quality player.
