Worst case scenario for me is Petrecca > Brayshaw > McCartin > Lever > Wright, which is a real possibility. Shows how completely ****ed up we are by this compo pick tbh.

Melbourne adds a gun mid and another gun forward to their team, GWS finish off their list with a gun KPD, Pies take a huge step in their mini rebuild adding two gun forwards in Wright and Moore in the same draft and we? Well we take a midfielder whose not really on the same level, or a skinny sort of CHB/sort of CHF in Durdin. Who once again is not really seen on the same level as those other guys.

There's always the chance of a bolter though. In fact I'd say the odds are there will be one. The draft order is never certain 90 days out, so even though it feels like a solid top five I honestly expect someone will slip in there late in the game and push Wright or Lever to us.

Then of course the AFL might decide Melbourne deserve that priority pick after all and we drop to pick 7.

1. GWS - Petracca
2. Melbourne - Wright
3. Melbourne - Brayshaw
4. St Kilda - McCartin
5. Collingwood - Lever (Smokey Weller)
6. Western Bulldogs - Durdin (Lever if Weller is selected)

Presuming that GWS trade up and Collingwood get the Beams deal done the i could see this happening

Could see Melbourne keen on Wright actually heard a rumor a while back that they where GWS take Petracca St Kilda take McCartin. Collingwood seeings they have lost Beams could go with a mid but if they get a Brisbane mid in return for that trade they could go KPP with the one suiting what they have already got the most being Lever. Smokey for them is Lachlan Weller.

Leaves us with either Durdin or if the smokey Weller is picked Lever.

Does anyone know if we are keen on McKenzie/have interviewed him numerous times?

Best chance of getting Wright/McCartin is if Gold Coast trade up in order to sucure Weller if they think Collingwood is a threat to take him or if they think he'll be gone before their first selection.

Despite there being a clear top 5 draftees according to the industry group-think, almost every year there are surprises in the top 10 and often in the top 3.

Worst case scenario for me:

1. Petracca
2. Brayshaw
3. McCartin
4. Lever
5. Wright
6. Poo/Durdin

Hoping the Pies take someone like Laverde and GWS take Durdin.

Should we consider Weller? The perfect mix of inside/outside that we should be looking for to top off our midfield, wouldn't mind an extra 5cm and a bit of weight on him though.

What one :P

Probably have talked to Reece a few times but don't quote me on it. He isn't worth pick 6 and is unlikely to be at our second though if he isn't rated by a few teams then he could be there.

The way Daniel was going in the combine and TAC Cup GF every club would have been talking to him. Very athletic and classy user I'm hoping for later on in the draft.

My greatest fear too :(

They'd take Weller he is the next best mid that is why I think gold coast might try and trade with Melbourne for the compo pick. Would be good for us that means we'll still get one of those you listed in the top 5 :D

Pies should take Moore with their first pick. It would be a fitting tribute to his talent and the wonderful career of his father to do so, but an insult to overlook him until their second pick.

They've got him with pick 9 already. If they trade up to pick 6 it'll be free for someone else.

I can see Collingwood taking a mid too but I think it is far more likely to be Laverde or DeGoey. There midfield is already very short & if they don't add some height to it this draft they are going to look like leprechauns up against our army of giants.

Tyler Keitel seems like a player we would be fans of - Versatile, competitive in the air and on the ground. Could be a very nice second tall prospect. Anyone else a fan?

6- Sam Durdin (197cm KPP)

26- Connor Menadue (188cm mid)
27- Reece McKenzie (196cm KPF)
44- Keenan Ramsey (193cm KPF/KPD) (sorry from last year can't find recent stuff)

45- Toby McLean (179cm mid/fwd)

got some highlights for those that I could. Thought that if we take Ramsey then Durdin would feel a bit more comfortable plus if he is there I'd take him 9 times out of 10

Can't wait for us to not draft a key forward and have the same supporters bitch on about our club's poor management. Then to read back and see the same ones bemoaning us not winning enough games this year.

Durdin for me please

If we take those picks to the draft that would be a pretty good outcome, yes?

We'd be making out like bandits. Getting Wright would be great for our forward line McLean is the best player that could be available at our third and is an absolute freak a bit of Elliot and a bit of Motlop (Skills and vision wise) No 1 for scoring assists in the TAC Cup. McDonald has done really good jobs on all the top 5 forwards from Victoria and Menadue is a gun the exact sort of player that we need to break lines and kick the footy.
