I also wouldn't be surprised if that's the way we saw Roughy long term but personally I wouldn't be moving him from the backline, he is bloody good down there and a huge part of how it functions.Despite what some on here say, I'm convinced from what McCartney and some of the Assistants have said that Roughead will at some time be played up forward. He may become our ultimate swingman: can play in the ruck, as a key forward and as a key defender. Like his older cousin.
It makes perfect sense for us to recruit a key defender. I know I'm not convinced that Talia will make a gun CHB and I'm not sure that Roughead will play the rest of his career at full-back.
Maybe he can play different roles long term and that might be how the coaches see him but tbh he hasn't shown he is capable of that and he's actually been pretty underwhelming on the very small sample of evidence we've had. I just don't think we should be basing important list management decisions on Roughy maybe being able to do it, if that's what we want then let's give Roughy the rest of the season to show us he's capable of it.
Yeah I'm confident in the people running the show so I'm sure it will work out. Agree about us getting out marked though it's a bit weird because I think our team is actually fairly tall across the ground, besides the forward line which is probably just missing one genuine tall but other than that is still pretty big. And even the smaller guys like Hunter and Dahl are quite strong in the air.yeah it does make the head turn over a bit. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what our plans are. it'll work out in the wash though i'm sure. We need to get taller though. That's one thing i'm sure of. Getting outmarked in every game
It's definitely an issue we need to address but I think we've got the cattle on our list and will see it improve more and more as the younger guys take over and I'd imagine we will continue the trend of drafting bigger bodies (no matter what position they play) anyway.

actually gone ice cold on Pickett, because he doesn't win enough of the ball consistently and that is something we rate highly
