Heard a lot about him for two years before he fell off the face of the earth

He has been out for over a year with a knee injury, he played his first game back last weekend. He was touted as a top five pick for last draft before injuring himself and was considered the second best forward behind Boyd.

A KPF has to be our first pick, or that pick traded away to help bring one in. Then picks 2 & 3, a KPD & HBF with a view to develop & replace Morris & Murphy down the track. IF we draft a midfielder, any with genuine speed & endurance please.

Imagine if we took Conlon... the stories he could swap with Stringer, Morris and Smith about who has had the worst leg injuries...

AFL Phantom draft is up -

Agree, Petracca will be gone before our pick he is a clear top 5, Imo goes top 3.

From reading that only, we take Durdin, Lamb or Picket in that order.

Lamb? Another 193cm mid? that would start getting ridiculous, but maccas plan is (apparently) to make a monster-sized midfield to combat the Suns and GWS pure rolled-gold class midfields, so it makes some kind of sense to take Lamb if there are no decent talls left at our pick.

Would be pretty pissed if we used a top 7 pick on Lamb, Don't rate him in the top 15 personally. Would be pretty happy with Durdin or Pickett.

Well, given the bolters we have been taking lately, that makes him almost a certainty
If we're putting our money on a bolter mine is on Jayden Laverde... Speed, can play multiple positions and skilled

reminds me of Nat Fyfe as a junior

interesting they name Brayshaw in the backline for the AA, guess they had to squeeze him in
but I think he could play there and through the middle

I wonder where a fit Conlon could go in the draft, if he gets a decent run

I am leaning towards Brayshaw over Duggan atm, the kid is just a beast.

Not including Wright, Petrraca or McCartin (who I think are the three locks to be gone before us) my preferences atm are:

1. Durdin
2. Brayshaw
3. Duggan
4. Pickett

No one else really takes my fancy at this stage. Besides maybe Lachie Weller.

cross our fingers and toes and perhaps...PERHAPS Duggan might be at our second round pick

Brayshaw is definitely safer then Duggan, he is an animal like you said
I've seen him live and he looks like a giant amongst the other players

have seen him burst out of a clearance as well, so he ain't no plodder

Durdin looks like he'd be a good defender even if he wasn't a star forward, I like how he marks the ball as well
hmm, Durdin & Duggan to the Dogs; doesn't sound too bad :drunk:

Everyone seems to think because Brayshaw is an inside mid he is a plodder of some sorts, his skills are very good. Not at Duggan's level, but not many are. I see him as a Keiren Jack type, instead of a Matt Priddis type (not trying to knock Priddis, but yeah).

End of the day as long as we don't pick Goddard I'll be happy. I really can't see Duggan sliding passed pick 10 let along first round.

well we should still get someone good in the second round, I just hope we don't reach with any of our early picks
maybe Keitel is the second round, who really knows this early but there should be someone that could potentially slot right in the side

Important last dot point.

Don't mind him playing a defensive role for Vic Country if it lowers his value in the eyes of recruiters, the club will know what he's capable of as a rebounder and what he can become. Big wrap for Lamb there too.

Are you still interested in Cunico?

yes, just not early
reminds me of Bobby
just not as tall

I'm thinking if we got Durdin at our first and Conlon late in the draft
could have the two KPP red heads :D

don't think we'd take Lamb still, but I do wonder how he'd go as a defender

I'd love Petracca or Pickett at our first pick. I don't keep up with the young guys coming through as a lot on here would, but I'm not particularly sold on a few of the higher rated KPF prospects that're coming through. That said, if we were able to get McCartin by some miracle I would be out of my mind.

Conlon hype seems to be building. Injuries seem hard to get past though. Hope he can, whether it's with us or someone else. Sounds more and more likely that Durdin will be available at our first on exposed form. I'm just not that interested somehow.

I'm not interested in Lamb, just thought it was a surprisingly big wrap, haven't heard great things generally.

When I saw Conlon still on the board last year, I wanted us to take him with a late pick despite his injuries. Thought he was worth the risk of a late pick at the time and (with thanks to Captain Hindsight) would have LOVED having him on the list over Fuller.
