Has more to offer than just that mark. I've taken interest when he moved up the ground the last few weeks and he started to get 30 odd disposal 3 goal games. From a little bit of searching I've found he has a few contenders for mark of the year not just that one above and kicked a contender for goal of the year. The blokes on boundforglory seem to love his xfactor being able to play tall as a small, being quick, his freakish
jump. I'll ask KM and Chris about him see what they think ;)

did you see the TAC Future stars phantom draft?

starts at 28 minute mark

Yeah I did a bit of a really weird one weller is too low Langford way to high
wait for Brett Anderson to do his next phantom
he'll have guys in the draft that seem too high
but he knows which clubs rate which players

Weller is probably only going that low because the TAC Future stars, always put Victorian boys up higher

If we are not getting Wright or McCartin or two of the top mids I'd perfer Leverde as more than any other player to be honest.

Laverde? Or Lever? Or a combination? too bad they couldn't combine all their skills together
they'd go number one :p the ultimate offensive and defensive player
Jayden Larverde. Looks dangerous.

I like Durdin, he's graceful through the air and has good hands (from the half a game I've seen LOL :)) but he looks like a player. Is McCartin a one trick pony? Every highlight I've seen of him is him leading out and marking. Looks great, but good luck doing that against an AFL backline

Ok just looked up how to spell his name its Laverde. I'll try to get it right from now on everyone. It is also the name of a river in Calabria in Southern Italy.

looks very fast for a tall utility as well, looks like he could put a lot of muscle on with the big shoulders
we like our utilities don't we? :D think he could be a chance, what I heard is that
if Laverde gets a high score for the beep test/endurance

I think we'd be all over him, heard that we want big bodied hard running players
Vickers-Willis and Laverde tick both those boxes

my issue with Durdin and Goddard is they're naturally better down back
up forward, they look pretty hopeless
the media hypes up their best games but never highlights that they're playing on a key defender who are bean poles compared to them
and say at how, there is a snap shot of what they could do at AFL level
 its like putting an untrained fighter in a ring to fight Mike Tyson in his prime, of course they should be giving them a flogging!

McCartin is dangerous at ground level as well and can spot a better target inside 50 if hes not a chance
not like he bombs every kick at goal :D

I think Marchbank would suit us as a forward, but hasn't been a notable goal kicker
but everything that is kicked at him, he puts his hands up and marks it; like he has baseball mitts for hands :drunk:

Anyone think Goddard makes a late charge back up the draft boards? Gut feel is that if he finishes strong, he could be our pick at 6.
yep. kid's judged harshly. had an ok champs but not outstanding. is a big lump of a lad who moves well with a good mark and good skills. we'd be silly to write him off as an option.

It's starting to look like Durdin will be sliding a bit. Especially with the rise of Petrecca.

1. St Kilda - McCartin
2. Brisbane - Wright
3. Melbourne - Petrecca
4. GWS - Brayshaw
5. Carlton - Lever (he will surprise and go top 10 IMO, would happily take him)
6. Bulldogs - Durdin

Just a rough look at it though. GWS is the spanner in the works, God knows they always do some weird shit.

SOS'll pick another KPF, no doubt. He's incompetent at his job.

He'll pick another 'Giant', can just see them taking Wright if he is there :drunk:
all the clubs been surprised, turns into a spud/number one Dogs target
because he has size
Wonder why it is that he went into list management after being an assistant coach for so long. He was supposed to be one of the good ones, too.

Hasn't been great so far for GWS by any means.

O'Rourke was a silly pick in my opinion anyway

my friend and I joked when I watched the games and recruiters would stare at me
to introduce myself and say I am Tom Scullys second cousin & he got me a job recruiting for GWS ;)

I think you could put the kids names in a hat
and pick a better bunch of players then him

I definitely thought at the time that O'Rourke went too early. I suppose I did want him though

Messing with recruiters heads at U/18 games, hysterical :p

They could do better. Not overly convinced by the way they've assembled their squad that they'll achieve too much.

I think our recruiters have made some pretty ballsy decisions to be honest
they've just fortunately paid off and GWSs haven't
nature of the draft, but O'Rourke to GWS, come on.. don't even get me started about them taking McCarthy and saying
he'll become a KPD; seriously....I remember hearing he was playing cricket up until last year

and I would have said it in a joking manner, wouldn't have been funny if they worked for GWS though

I hope after beating GC, they still might want to trade for our pick

That's true, I guess we could be saying the same things about Bontempelli, Macrae, etc. I just thought that with so many early picks, and picks in general, they'd have taken a more measured approach to recruiting to really nail it.

Of course. I'd love to buy a GWS or Gold Coast polo and hang around at Northern Blues games, and other stuff like that. Go down dressed like that with a laptop, a notebook and a pen and see if you're approached :p

Depends what they want out of the draft, I guess. Will they be so petty? :p

I can't believe some of the choices they've made. Plowman at #3 is the worst of the lot, most people didn't have him in the top 10. God knows that passing on Grundy at #14 was a huge mistake as well.

Oh well, hope he keeps up that form.
