The only way I can see us getting Wright is if Brisbane take Weller or Melbourne don't get band one for Frawley.

1. St Kilda - Petracca
2. Melbourne - McCartin
3. GWS - Brayshaw
4. Brisbane - Weller
5. Bulldogs - Wright

Love the idea of us going after Wright he'd actually be perfect for our forward line, Melbourne would be our best chance at pick 2 I reckon, who would we give up though.
Pick 5/6 and Easton Wood would be fair i reckon. That lands us with pick 2 and leaves Melbourne with Pick 3 (Compo), Pick 5/6 (Depending on Frawley) and Wood

Things will probably change a lot after the draft camp. People will come in and others drop off.

Wood being trade bait to move up in the draft makes sense if we are bringing in Zaine Cordy. Seems he will play a similar sort of role as Easton, obviously will need a few years though.

Pick 5 and say Grant & Tutt?

Feels pretty light on still.

The hard part is getting whichever player it is to agree to go to Melbourne? Grant might because it means extending his career, maybe Easton Wood as well although I'd think he'd have more suitors if he was available? it's a shame we couldn't send Higgins there way (maybe we offer to pay an extra year if he does?) because that would be the best imo....

Yeah not too sure, not good with this type as shit as I get too attached with our players to trade em :p but just think it makes sense for Melbourne, especially if they've still got pick 3, and can grab another mid at pick 5.

Maybe we could work something out like we allow Higgins to go to them, then also trade pick 5 and the Higgins compo to them. They might be interested in coons? Reunite Crossy and Boyd? Who knows but I'm glad we're exploring our options, if we can manage to bring in Wright without losing any of our core youngsters, well we're looking pretty ****ing good I reckon.

Campbell/Wright always down at FF as the main marking target (other one in the ruck), Jones second tall, Stringer/Crameri/Bonts all hanging around. Then down back set up around Rough, Roberts and Talia. That's a pretty high quality spine, in a few years anyway.

Edit: sorry igloo :p

In July 2013, Callum Twomey put up his phantom draft. Whether you like his opinion or not, he does this for a job so must have some ability to work it out.

He had it like this:

1 Tom Boyd
2 James Aish
3 Matthew Scharenberg
4 Luke McDonald
5 Jack Billings
6 Josh Kelly
7 Ben Lennon
8 Lewis Taylor
9 Kade Kolodjashnij
10 Matt Crouch

Aish slips to 7, Scharenberg 6, Crouch to 23, Taylor 28. A lot can happen.

I'm not totally sold on Wright. He is a big lumbering unit. He has good hands and a nice kick, but will he be quick enough to really be worth such a high pick to play as a forward? Everything points to him being more of a ruck/forward. A bit like David Hale. I would much prefer someone a bit quicker and more of a permanent forward.

McCartin would be my preferred pick. Quicker and is a natural forward. Would have another few cm's of height left in him I imagine and is a solid build.

I can't see any way McCartin gets passed Brisbane.

Man that bonti pick was pure gold by dalrymple. I wanted his head on a plate for passing on aish, but wow. Go daly.

Yup this is the pick that changed my opinion of him, I was on the fence after the last few drafts, now i feel very confident with him choosing talent. His last two drafts have been monsters.

Have you all gone mad ?
Is there a full moon out at the moment ?

Fronk not wanting to sound smart , but I was desperate for us to take Bont.
His upside looked enormous to me , but I will admit I doubted he would play much this year at all.
He has surpassed anything we could have dreamed of.
Mind you Aish is also a gun , and I am sure we would have been happy with him as well.

Having a look at some updated phantom drafts I would be pretty happy with the first round from Chris25 & the rest from Knightmare.
That would give us Wright, Ellis, DVR & Cordy (with Foster later on).
Make it so!

Swap Ellis for Menadue and it's perfect!

seriously though, if we draft him though
Tutt is gone-ski
he is like a copy of Tutt that is far more composed and looks pretty fast to

Puts pressure on Tutt next year if he is picked up as a rookie I'm fine with that. We do have 4 rookie spots need speed and skill and he is that. Your right far more composed than Tutt from what I've seen.

Haha.

31 disposals at 71% with a goal is a pretty good game especially for a final

Menadue 26 at 88% with two goals :D very happy with the both of them. Though a shame ee won't see Menadue again this year... :(
the Jets don't get a double shot at it? I had thought they'd go deep into it, very disappointing

who knows, maybe a player like Maishman goes even higher
only thing I could see stopping him is his height, but his frame looks solid and he isn't a player that gets knocked to ground easily
