Heard he is a Monster of a kid.
Monster of a kid but a raw prospect, first year playing footy i think
has had basketball background, watched him play against Calder Cannon and was man handled by their defense.
Doesn't like crashing packs when he knows he will lose.

He's a monster of a kid but he's a big baby.

Thoughts on Josh Glenn? We still need to address our kickers off half back.

Found a player with good skills if halfback while trolling through some draft things. Daniel McKenzie from the Chargers will be high in their b&f too. Another possible rookie ;) it is good to have rookie spots available like this I can speculate like a mad man.
Oh, Peter Wright also kicked 6 goals on him
so :drunk: I hope he comes on a lot quicker then Ayce, though Ayce always seemed to have the shoulder issues

I honestly don't want us to take Josh Glenn at the Nationals
been burned too many times by the south australians with good foot skills that play off of half back, boo

maybe a player like Harrison Wigg slides to it, some people might think that would be crazy
but every year there is always a couple of players that just don't get picked up at all and it sometimes isn't because of the injuries they've had to date

Look through people in the National combine usually the majority are picked up from there so I look them up occasionally. McLean wasn't in the initial group but was upgraded onto it from the states about a week ago I don't know how that works if the clubs request it or whatnot maybe last years upgrades might give us a clue(who did this happen to last year?).

Only read the last few pages

Seems to be a lot of love Wright and fair enough too. I don't think he's more suited to the FF position however. In my opinion the Calder Cannons look more dangerous when Wright plays further up the ground with Foster across FF. Why? As mentioned he has very good endurance, so has no problems moving back and forth. He also has a booming kick and has no trouble kicking goals outside 50. Across FF I don't like him as much because he appears to be a bit slow over the first couple steps and I don't think he's that great under a high ball, as in he doesn't use his size as well as he could. The other thing I don't like about him is that he doesn't impose himself physically as much as you'd like in a big bloke. If he imposed himself more physically he would be without a doubt the No 1 pick.

In saying all that, I think it's quite unlikely he would be available at our pick. A player with this amount of athletic ability is rare. If I was one of Brisbane, St Kilda or Melbourne I would definitely be snapping him up if Petracca and McCartin are gone.

After the three players mentioned, I really can't find a stand out player who I really want. I've mentioned in another thread we should look at trading down the pick, would anyone be up for this? Maybe get a guy like Goddard with it and someone else.

Agree, Wright is more s CHF some people just plant him at FF because of his height and size but it is not his go. Reckon we can play Stringer deep and him across the half forward line if we get him. If we trade down I'd like Duggan and get a KPF later or by trade, really don't think that Goddard is the answer to our woes he just plays multiple positions to an okay level rather than excelling in one area similar to Hurley, Duggan answers our skills needs though and I have him higher on my ratings than Goddard think we could turn him into a high level skillful mid to compliment our inside nuts.

BTW welcome to BF

Y'all such a nice bunch.

Hurley is one of the better young key defenders going around, I think you are underrating him a bit. When he was used up forward, I agree he wasn't much chop. Goddard is a bit similar. When used up forward in the champs, he was disappointing. When moved down back his opponent hardly got a touch. Same happened in last week's final. Darcy Moore, Goddard's opponent had no influence on the game at all. He just needs to work on his rebound work which isn't awful. He's spent most of his short career as a forward from what I can gather as well, so he has some upside as a defender.

Duggan would not be bad, does need to get himself into the thick of the action more and back himself. I'd probably prefer Weller if I had a choice.

What's your thoughts on Cunico? Think he might be a good get later in the draft.

Would mind Cunico but his skills are not the same as some of the fwd/mids that are going to be later in the draft not that his skill set is bad it is just average. Think the Saints will go with him at their third but if they don't I guess we could go for him.

Atm I have Wright/Durdin, Viojo-Rainbow, Menadue, Toby McLean and Cordy. This is before any trade downs or getting players like Jaksch in trade. All are either tall or add speed, skills, goal kicking or xfactor all what we need and there isn't really any reaching.

I'd personally prefer Weller as well, better in traffic and at least looks a bit quicker

Cunico is very skinny, but a good kick and finds lots of space
but not sure he gets into the contest enough, I have heard he has very good endurance to

In saying what I did about Cunico his kicking style looks good but his decision making is not very good from what I've seen makes some bad mistakes sometimes. Weller yes I'd like him but unless this trade down pick you are talking about is before GC's we won't be able to get him.
