How about Liam Dawson?

Heard someone say we were observing Hammelmann, could be a potential second round pick
another KPF to, that can play in defense
Dawson was nominated by the Lions. Andrew Harris too.

Can we please have Nat Drummond as a late pick?
I spoke to someone that has coached Drummond a bit over the last few years and from what they said he would definitely match the good person model for us. They spoke extremely highly of the him.

5 father/son nominations and 7 academy nominations. that clubs have committed to.

Darcy Moore (Collingwood) heads the group of father-son players nominated by clubs, alongside Zaine Cordy (Western Bulldogs), Billy Stretch (Melbourne), Josh Clayton (Brisbane Lions) and Alec Waterman (West Coast).
The Sydney Swans will gain priority access to three academy prospects in midfielders Isaac Heeney and Jack Hiscox, and mobile tall Abe Davis.
As well as father-son prospect Clayton, the Brisbane Lions have nominated academy players Liam Dawson and Harris Andrews.
Midfielder Jack Steele, who enjoyed an excellent week at the NAB AFL Draft Combine, is one of two players Greater Western Sydney has nominated, along with talented tall Jeremy Finlayson.

Clean hands, good speed, good kick. Sounds very redpath-ish. My knock on redpath is he's not a pack mark and is poor on the deck. Mckenzie is considered an elite pack mark isn't he Temple?

Yes that's what I have heard, and the footage I have seen of him shows very nice hands.

Crap. That doesn't bode well for Wright slipping.
Just have to hope that 4 is traded for Beams and that Brisbane don't cave and do a player swap.
I think that is exactly the reason they didn't nominate him as they will need their second rounder in the deal for Beams somehow (as well as their first)

Good point. Thanks for pointing out the less panicky side of the argument.

So if we trade up, is it because we are hunting McCartin or Wright? Any thoughts?

Supposedly. It's always risky trading up. No doubt we're feeling the pinch and want the kpp we get to have some more meat on the bones. They are surer bets than durdin but trading up is riddled with danger

it will cost us too much, i'm not pleased by the thought, but they must feel neither will fall to us if we don't. otherwise why would we bother

Agree.

I think we'll move on fast if we land a physical prospect like Wright. 203cm, monster kick who runs all day. The missing piece

Not much love for Hugh Goddard around here?

I'm a fan. I wanted to downgrade our pick to that range of 10 - 18 to grab Goddard + someone else, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Unless there's another way we can get our hands on a pick in that range?
