It was at the start of last year before he went down with injuries comes from a good footy family so a lot was expected of him but he was hardly sighted. Think the dreaded ankle kept him out last year for a bit. Kinda ironic cause is a Murray Bushranger
Think it was late first- second round

Ouch, hear how Clem Smith ran a 11 beep test...

why ironic because he is a Murray Bushranger? :) (re: Drummond)

Also re Clem Smith now I see him as falling off the face of the planet new draft range for me Late-Rookie.

Edit: unless he had glandular fever or something which is unlikely. That is a crap beap test in all honesty.

Would not be surprised if we like Ramsey seems to be that versatile player that our recruiters have liked over the last few years. Hopefully he puts on 2cm or so though to be around the 195cm mark.

if he is used as a forward
people might want to be careful about throwing around the term deadeye
since he is an accurate kick ;)

I actually rate him after McLean out of the players that are available in the third round. Would seriously consider him especially if he put on the extra height. CHB/CHF and has played as a mid...

I'd be up for the mock draft should we run it. Just hope you don't give me the Doggies. I would trade off Bontemplli, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Hrovat, all of our draft picks, the groundskeeper, a couple of Gordons assistants, Garlicks car, and a few blades of grass from Whitten Oval for the number two pick. And draft our much needed forward that we have all been crying out for, Foster.

Did well in agility and kicking (despite being known as a poor kick), so I would think he can't have been that sick.

Thanks for the link.

This from bound for glory on Reece Mckenzie.

" There is no part of his game that should have doubts over it. He is the prototype dominant key forward in the Kurt Tippett mould, yet he came equal second in the 20 metre sprints in the combine with a time of 2.87. His 24/30 on the field kicking test was just two less than the elite left footer, Liam Duggan. He also came equal seventh in the standing vertical leap test. McKenzie came equal first in the clean hands test with 26/30."

Lets say Wright/McCartin are gone by our first, McKenzie by our second

going to be a load of disappointed posters here, including myself..

would hope we then take a punt of Hammelmann (although there would have to be a reason why Brisbane chose not to nominate him)
or bid on Finlayson or take Keitel, all are which are more athletic talls; Finlayson/Keitel be real good ball users and smart, but not yet dominant at hitting the scoreboard

maybe we still end up taking Goddard, seems as if he is a real hard worker and you would have to think we like that

which talls does everyone else like for our second round pick? I'd hope like hell Marchbank gets to our second, but not sure if I want him with Lever
though it could be a risk that ends up paying off, two players that potentially end up sliding due to injury

as long as we draft one or two tall blokes
i will be happy with this draft.

It's interesting that we're all assuming that we want to move up the draft to get McCartin/Wright, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is to ensure we got Lever. I've heard from a number of places that we are desperate for Lever and have almost fully committed to him, with Wright being the other guy we really really like. Collingwood being likely to get Brisbane's pick is a solid chance to take Lever before us. I think the club will be very happy with either Lever or Wright, but pick 2/3 just makes it certain we'll get one of them.

Ideal situation for me would be Lever/Wright with our first, McKenzie, and one of or both of the skilled speedsters in Cockatoo/Menadue. Reckon we'll need to upgrade our second rounder into late first round to get McKenzie though. Can't let those Saints take him before us.

Would love it if Marchbank slides. Personally my dream draft scenario, would be Wright at Pick 5, Marchbank Pick 25 and Menadue Pick 26. It won't happen this way at all, but that would be a great draft for us, and assume we traded for Membrey to go with Cordy, we have essentially covered three areas of need well.

Marchbank and McKenzie I'd be certainly open to for talls in the second. If none of them are available, I wouldn't have a clue as I don't know the others well :( Assuming the nightmare draft scenario plays out for us. Which could be Melb getting pick 3, McCartin, Wright, Lever, Durdin, Petracca all gone inside the first five picks, and Marchbank and McKenzie are gone by the seconds. Do we do a Howard and make some big reaches there, or will we play safe and pick the best available, even if it means midfielders?
