Who would you like us to select with our first round pick right now? (Wright & Durdin excluded)

well if our third is committed towards Cordy and we end up with a late third or third attached to Jones; I wonder whether we'll go in the ND
two talls, two best available midfielders and Cordy
or three talls, best available midfielder and Cordy

I hope Menadue is on our radar, Dogs supporters; Jets player, fast, uses the ball well, creative, tall
 
Durdin/Lever in the first and Marchbank/Oscar McDonald/Kietel and Menadue/Langford/Cockatoo in the second

We have 7 active picks atm in the national draft Dav1d not 5 unless we take extra rookies. Given the position of players in my half done phantom I use for working out who is available where given Melbourne get 3 for Frawely (Collingwood with 4 for Beams) see it being more possible for McCartin to slide than Wright so best case....

5/6- McCartin
26- R. McKenzie
27- Langford
43- Cordy
44- McLean
62- D. McKenzie (hoping he is still available but did well at combine)

Rookie number increases to 5

So many Mc somethings :P we'll rage at BT calling our Key Forward Daniel instead of Reece :P just noticed I had 2 players from three different teams...

(All players not selected I'm expecting to be going before our picks imo)

Marchbank and McKenzie I'd be certainly open to for talls in the second. If none of them are available, I wouldn't have a clue as I don't know the others well :( Assuming the nightmare draft scenario plays out for us. Which could be Melb getting pick 3, McCartin, Wright, Lever, Durdin, Petracca all gone inside the first five picks, and Marchbank and McKenzie are gone by the seconds. Do we do a Howard and make some big reaches there, or will we play safe and pick the best available, even if it means midfielders?

I think at least one of McCartin, Wright, Lever, Durdin and Petracca will be available as Melbourne are keen on Brayshaw.

I still really like the look of Durdin with our first pick, as a KPD wouldn't be sad with him.
 
Call me delusional but i still think we are in the box seat for Wright, on current order i see the draft panning out like this

#1 St Kilda - Petracca
#2 Melbourne - Brayshaw
#3 GWS - Lever
#4 Brisbane - McCartin
#5 Dogs - Wright

Assuming Melbourne get #3 for Frawley and Brisbane use pick #5 for part of the beams deal

#1 St Kilda - Petracca
#2 Melbourne - Brayshaw
#3 Melbourne - McCartin
#4 GWS - Lever
#5 Collingwood - Laverde or Ahern
#6 Dogs Wright

I think if #5 ended up at Collingwood it would be a great situation for us, they are getting Moore at pick #8 who is touted as one of the best KPF's in the draft so I think they would opt for a Laverde/Ahern/Pickett (if they rate them) with #5.

Except a lot of commentators are saying GWS will buy pick 1 off St Kilda with jaksch/orourke or something else and take Petracca with pick 1
Saints are then very likely to go wright or mccartin with pick 3 and we miss out.

As usual the fly in the ointment is GWS
 
Would not surprise me if Collingwood took Weller to be honest he is more consistent than Ahern and Laverde. Gold coast would not be happy about it at all.

Apparently the Saints are more into McCartin than Wright, so if both are available, they'd probably take McCartin leaving Wright a possibility for us.

There was also a few people saying that the saints really love Ahern. I wonder if they'd possibly consider taking Ahern over one of the key forwards. Maybe not over McCartin since they appear to like him, but they might instead of Wright.

Yes I'm excited it is coming up to draft time which is my favorite time of the year so I'll try and contain some of it :P.

Is there really a kid called Jack Hiscox.....
I wouldn't want to be commentating that one when he leaves the field of play. "Jack Hiscox off" or perhaps if he has been really good around the stoppages or has a big quarter....."Hiscox enormous this quarter"

Do you think there is much of a chance of you guys passing on him? It seems one of those Daniher like fait accompli's. Considering you will get at least pick 4 for Beams you will still have a shot of picking any other player you might like as well you would imagine. Unless you think pick 4 could net you a better tall and you have a midfielder in the pick 8 range that you really want I can't see it happening. Even then, I think F/S's mean something for clubs.

Our decision is based purely on the estimate that Darcy Moore is top 3 talent. If we could pick him up with pick 5 or 6 we'd be stoked. No doubt you'll exercise your right to him, and so you should. We are not bidding just to keep anyone honest, we will be looking to find value. We'll probably bid on Jack Steele as well.
 
Wow for some reason I thought the draft wasn't too far away, November 27th is still like 6-7 weeks away :(
