1. Brad Johnson, with his AIS-AFL Academy hat on, has lobbed on NAB AFL Trade Radio. Johnson is full of praise for previous guest Jake Lever who remains a top draft prospect despite missing this season after a knee reconstruction.
2. - Western Jets wingman/half-back Liam Duggan won the Ben Mitchell Medal as the leading player at the Academy this year. Johnson is a huge fan of his elite kicking and ability to break the lines.
3. - Johnson says Nakia Cockatoo's last 10 days "have been just outstanding". Cockatoo starred in the curtain-raiser to the Grand Final and won the repeat sprints at the NAB AFL Draft Combine.

It's a shame he couldn't let Duggan slide that extra spot & give us our 2 doggie supporting, jets boys.

I know a lot of people think we need a key defender, but Duggan & Menadue would do wonders for our outside run.

Something tells me Skippos likes to look after the doggies...

To an extent. I'm sympathetic towards you guys big time but it's difficult to look after a club in a mock draft - do all the picks linearly so it's just a bit of luck that the players were all there. All it'd take is one trade to completely **** up that dream draft, unfortunately

Before Trade Radio droped out - again - Terry Wallace putting things into some perspective. He claims that some of the senior players have a problem with the Coach (and a number of us on here have alluded to this before - we have even had a thread on here about it) but the younger players don't have problems with the Coach. Terry also said that the club has a very major problem and that maybe the older players are the biggest problem themselves.

Weller would be a great get at pick 7 now to replace Griff, could become a very good mid for us. Grab Wright / McCartin with pick 4 and BPA at pick 6.

I'm expecting us to work hard to get into the top three and I expect one of those picks to go for an established player to be honest.

That said, I'm liking the Wright, Lever and Laverde trio. Durdin and Weller could also come into the conversation for mine.

Just watching Langford's highlights again if we got him I'd attach him to Bob Murphy as a mentor kid looks like a seriously good 190cm Swingman so why not let him learn from the best in the business at that?

I don't rate him. 190cm but foot to shoulder he's got the height of a 185cm bloke, such a long neck which uselessly inflates his height.

Bolting to 10-15 I'd understand - I'd be offended if he went top 10 though.
