Okay just tweaking my phantom a bit after noticing a few errors.

Dogs currently have the following.

26- Dillon Viojo-Rainbow 185cm def/mid
27- Connor Menadue 188cm wingman
39- Matt Hammelmann 198cm KPP
45- Toby McLean 179cm fwd/mid
46- Dan Howe 191cm utility

Now I'll have to wait until I have a functioning cpu at my place and do a few write ups :P

Mind if I give it a crack? ;)

I'll keep McLean (just for your sake) where he is

I thonk the same about Daniel McKenzie but I think he'll slide because his year has been quite injury interupted bit like Drummond did last year only I hope McKenzie is picked up somewhere

I just don't think that Kietel has that aggressive streak that is needed to be a decent KPP. Don't think he has everything that is required and looks lackluster would rather we take the best kids we can and use the rookie draft for needs

I think the best way to describe Keitel is like a defender who's been swung forward. Even though he's a forward to begin with.

He's not a major contested marking threat and his leads aren't hard or powerful. He doesn't command the space. He does alright in general but he just doesn't look like a natural, if that makes sense.

He was best available at that stage most likely to make it and add something to our list that we do not have. Also killed the combine so he could charge up the draft and not even be available for us.
I don't think the combine changes a hell of a lot

just if there are two similar players, it ends up been a factor

not too many players like that, the other small/medium forward that I like is Aidan Anderson from WA

I'm going to make a bold prediction and say Reece McKenzie WON'T get drafted at all

I like the guys who are more footballers first athletes second. Hence why I just don't rate Kietel like some people do. That is why I'm all for McLean looks like a footballer first.

Reece, From what I watched live of him he is a long long way off it
Will be the Darcy Hourigan of last year

Except that McKenzie is a 196 centimetre, 105-odd kilo beast who runs 20m in 2.87 seconds while Hourigan was a short, fat full forward who couldn't run out of sight on a foggy day.

McKenzie is 150% getting drafted, most likely in the first round. Hourigan should have considered himself lucky to even get the chance to nominate for the draft.

I stick by my prediction haha

What do you think of Hammelman? sp?

Hourigan ran 20m in 3 seconds flat, not too shabby for 'short, fat full forward'

And yet he was overlooked in the National Draft, PSD and Rookie Draft. Go figure.
Because recruiters hate undersized full forwards in general, he was the leading goalkicker in the under 18 champs, he would've been scouted by every club, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't need to consider himself lucky to nominate for anything.

I don't think you'd like hammelmann Dry Rot. Good athlete, reads the game ok but a bit soft in marking contests and has sloppy skills. Could maybe turn into a key back imo

Even though I'm not a massive fan of McKenzie, his athletic potential is hard to ignore and add to that there's not many other decent power forward options available in this draft. If guys like Jack Leslie and Lucas Cook can go first round, then you would have to think Reece McKenzie is a decent chance of going first as well. His character has come into question by some posters though which might see him drop but I doubt it will be out of the draft altogether.

The order could be wrong, no will be wrong. These are who i think
will be off the board come our picks at 26 and 27 some are lock it
in Eddie definite some are speculation based on needs.

After my theory on who is off the board my revised picks
are as follows.
26.-Brayden Maynard
27.-Connor Blakely, Ed Vickers-Willis
39.-Nathan Drummond, Dillon Viojo-rainbow, Damien Cavka
45.-Daniel McKenzie
46.-Sean McClaren (kpd)
Gone off Polkinghorne a little now onto Hutchins after
reading he was tried as a utility/mid 191cm 94kg
