Would love something like that, 3 smalls and two talls would be great.
I went, two outside types; one inside midfielder, one tall, one medium or small forward

take another couple of talls in the rookie draft

there is just something I like watching about Aidan Anderson, has played some senior time in the WAFL as well

Blakely at our first and Anderson later, would mean they'd have someone back from home at the team
so a familiar face

ALSO, at each of those picks; which players would be your choices?

You serious?

doubt we'd take either

yeah, whilst he might not suit us
I think he could still have a reasonable career else where

This!!! You wouldn't take either you mean. Unless you are Dalrymple or JMac nothing can be sneezed at. We need all types of players, so maybe give your opinion on what players can and can't do. That's fine.
I was amazed at your synopsis of Keitel. "Doesn't attack the ball" is what you said. I put it to you that you have watched a few highlights maybe the odd National U/18 game and you make that call. Being from Perth I doubt you've watched many of his games at all.
So many people on here think of themselves as great recruiters or oracles of drafting. Just imagine we do draft Keitel and you already have basically said he's no good.
Let's just wait and see and reserve judgement after a few games with us.
The kids don't deserve to be judged by amateur analysts. IMO

Isn't that what we're here for though? I appreciate the guys who are willing to put their money where there mouth is and risk their BF cred to help inform people like me who have a pretty slim idea of most draftees. I'd rather we didn't stop the flow of opinion, even if it seems incorrect or overtly harsh to some.

I like the fact that posters on here give opinions on potential draftees. It seems ridiculous that judgements are made on highlight reels

Yep opinion is good, but it has to be your own opinion and informed. Because most opinion on here is ill-informed. watching a few highlights packages doesn't constitute being an expert.
I am sure there are some that go to a lot of U/18 games and can comment on those games, but I doubt many Melbourne based posters could reliably comment about WA prospects.
I don't like seeing kids slagged off for no good reason. Of course there are standouts like Petracca etc. but any person if they read enough can say that Petracca is a gun.
I like to read more on what type of player someone is rather than why they won't get drafted. They are young kids and I don't think it's reasonable to assume anything. Two years on a list and then commentary can be made.

Chill Zephiisdaman the whole draft process is speculation based upon
a lot of data gathered from kids playing against kids.Sure it is done
by experienced scouts and recruiters that scour the country , but
in the end it is a lot of crystal balling.I once drove to Ballarat to
watch Skinner live, he was sub had one possession and i got
sunburned to buggery memorable day that one.

If Pickett waa there at our pick
I wouldnt be annoyed if we got him
We'd be absolutely stupid not to take him if he was still there at 26. Is in with a chance at GWS' pick 7, so I'd be laughing if we grabbed him.

The word going around at the moment is that he's pulling a Wingard in his draft interviews and is unlikely to be drafted by a non-WA side. Just a rumour at this stage though; just thought it was interesting.

I didn't say he wasn't any good, I just said that I doubt we'd take him
that bit about not attacking the ball, is a second-hand opinion from someone that does watch him very regularly (goes to his WA games)
discussed with via PMs

take everything said with a grain of salt
a few posters had said that Boyd/Patton coming to us was a pipe dream, but I am sure that they are happy to be wrong

interest in thoughts on taking a punt on a mountain like Brayden Preuss - could fill a hole when Ayce is moved on at the end of next year.

Says it himself in the vid he's happy to go anywhere just as long as he's drafted, doesn't even look like there's a go home factor, maybe he's just playing it up for the cameras though... kid can't exactly say "I wanna stay at home", can he?. Even if he gets past GWS at 6/7, how does he get past WCE or Freo? No chance he slips to 26.

Yeah, as I said, I can't conclusively say it's right or wrong, but it's something that's getting around a bit at the moment. I see pick 11 (West Coast) as the absolute furthest he'd drop to - but stranger things have happened.

Don't know about you guys but I really like Blakey would be wrapped if our picks turned out like this
26 Menadue
27 Blakely
39 McDonald
45 Webb
46 Howe

Knightmare has Blakely going at 25 so it isn't outside the realms of possibility, think he's earlier in most other phantoms though. Would be stoked if he fell to us.

Haven't really figured out what draft outcome I'd like the most yet. But something like Menadue, Cockatoo, McDonald/Keitel, Webb/Mclean, Cripps/Bevan/Payne would be going pretty close to it IMO. Cockatoo probably won't be available but would also be happy with one of Maynard/Blakely.

Also don't think I've even seen this posted here -

Looks pretty decent, loved the run down the wing and a couple of his deliveries inside 50. Hope we rookie him.

Also don't think he's been talked about too much in here but I really like the look of Shannon Taylor - http://www.afl.com.au/video/2014-09-24/draft-prospect-shannon-taylor

Will be about 21/22 next year, highly talented kid overlooked for off field reasons but since then has moved to Victoria, started a family, got a job and got himself fit etc and has played some fantastic VFL footy this year. Obviously fills a need and its handy that he should be pretty ready to go next year you'd think which is important considering how many kids were bringing in.

What pick would we have to use on him? If we could get him as a rookie I would not hesitate, I'm guessing thats unlikely?

Late pick, IMO.

King Harold is this the kid that was tearing us a new one at Frankston earlier in the year before he went off injured??? That kid can play.

You mean Taylor, think it might have been. I'd probably prefer other options at 45/6 but would be absolutely rapt if we could snag him as a rookie, would be an upgrade on Tutt.
