1. McDonald
2. Menadue
3. Blakely
4. Maynard

I haven't seen or heard too much about Gore, and I think Cockatoo is probably off the board by that point.

In all honesty, a utility currently at BFL level, mainly through all areas of the front two thirds.

I think we see Pat McKenna as a forward. That interest was before Tom Boyd though, so I don't know if we are still interested.

There's still plenty of room within the team for a fit like him. Potentially gives options for others to move in and out of the midfield. Needs a good year+ in the gym though, but because of his obscure pathway this could be an opportunity to add him before he goes back to the Cannons.

Given our loss of quality midfielders in Griffen n cooney
Does Caleb Daniel become an option to jump in early on a kid who is a risk but offers very high upside?

I quite like this idea Yebiga. Kid is a gun.

Exactly, Wanted to get him last year.
Just grab him as a rookie and bring him through that way
Makes sense to hit up a ruck on the Rookie list. I can't see Ayce making it.

Unless Ayce has a breakout year next season I don't think he will remain on the list even though taller guys take longer

Just reacquainted myself with Tyler Keitel's highlights. He's Enright like - good thinker, tough enough and disposes of it well. I like him as a future CHB.
I like him to, but don't tell zephi that ;)

hopefully most of the players we want
don't get pinched before our picks

I think he would be great in a forward combo with Boyd! But i guess thats the beauty of him, he could play either well.

I took Jarrod Garlett and Oscar McDonald with our first two picks in the BF phantom for those interested. I'll drop the summaries/explanations here once I get around to writing them.

Oi I saw that.
The reason I got a bit annoyed with your earlier summation of Keitel was (I have never seen the kid play, or highlights. I just can't be bothered as all the draft kids in highlights look great. They don't show mistakes. Which would be more insightful) I listened to a talent spotter from WA on SEN a few weeks back.
He was very, very positive in Keitel. He said he was extremely professional at a very young age in regard to getting his body right for each weeks game.
He played in the National championships and the WA team were instructed not to use the spa at the place they were staying. I suppose it had to do with horseplay for kids of that age and respect to other patrons.
He used to sneak to the spa by himself, in the middle of the night to get his body right. He was caught and questioned about it, and explained he follows the exact same routine all the time in WA. He is the type like Nathan Buckley who weighs his food, does extra recovery work and icebath treatment.
That tells me he is professional and mature at a young age. I love reading about kids that are prepared to do the extra work and grounding on the journey to do whatever they attempt in life. He strikes me as a kid that will do whatever is required to make himself a better player.
That was why I got a little antsy at you r comment about him, it wasn't personal. It was that if he has a weakness then I am sure he will be the first to ensure he irons the weakness out.
What kid drafted doesn't have weaker areas to their games anyways?

Do you guys see keitel as a key forward, key back or 3rd defender type??

nice picks. these are the guys i've like since we got the higgins compo.

how does garlett project compared to similar guys like tutt and JJ? with our dearth of outside ball carriers - can he push for games as a role player next year?

I like him as a 2nd forward, think he compliments Boyd well. He's the type that you'd like to get involved in the play because he's pretty composed with the ball, and links up really well similar to Roberts in that regard. Can't agree that he doesn't attack the ball hard enough either, think he plays with a bit of arrogance in his game which I like.

Garlett's more impactful and gets a lot more of the ball than Tutt, and is better defensively and technically than JJ. The thing I love most with Garlett is his defensive running; he's certainly not afraid of hard work. Can really offer us something both offensively and defensively. He's a bit of a limited player as he's shown very little propensity to develop an inside game but he certainly doesn't shirk contests or fall to pieces when pressured.

He'd likely get some games next year given our lack of speed and classy delivery but he's a very skinny kid and probably spends a year or two trying to find the balance between movement and strength/size.

I'm not sure Fronk, I have heard that he can swing both ends. Sometimes that bothers me as it means he isn't quite a backman or isn't quite a forward.
I can't even comment on how good he is, my only information came from the WA bloke on the radio and what I have read in here of course.
It would be fantastic for us if he is a Ben Reid type though because he can fill a variety of roles.
My ears just pricked up when I heard about his attention to detail in his preparation. Other than that I can't comment about his ability.
