If Tyler Kietel is also available he would be a better fit more mobile, Reece
McKenzie is too similar to big Tom Boyd there can be only one.

Having Tom Boyd and Stringer as our talls vs the eagles plus R.Mckenzie sitting at full forward at footscray is far too hard to pass up. I like Kietel and he could be there at 39, but Mckenzie is so big and powerful and if he got the coaching he needed we could have 3 legitimate powerhouse forwards. His ceiling is absolutely massive.

Switched Zaine from medium to tall?

lacking a bit everywhere, hopefully we can trade for an established player next year

saves a bit of time
Zaine is 192cm and will grow so will have him as a tall forward for now
List is still in a Rebuild so give it 2 more drafts (This and Next) and we should have a set 22 and depth on each line

Stringer medium forward?
Well he isn't 195+ which is what I consider a Tall Forward, Only a minor thing but that's my opinion

The Tom Hawkins type is a rarity in the modern game and your other
forwards need to compliment the monster. Saying that our key FWD
stocks are thin at the moment we have however a good supply of
third talls with very different skill sets we need to make use of this
resource this year.

If Reece McKenzie is the best tall forward in the draft, you will take him. It shouldn't matter that he's the same kind of forward as Tom Boyd. Quality key forwards are difficult to develop as it is. Give me two Tom Boyds any day over one Tom Boyd and one Cam Mooney.

You know how QLD and NSW have their academy to help blood the younger kids in their state.

Should the club considering doing a Western Region academy?
Say have it set up via the WRFL (kinda like we do with the VFL listed players) but target and train the younger players before they considering going into the TAC cup system and maybe in the future Bulldogs own a development side for those players that train with the VFL listed players etc.

which would mean we would have a
AFL team
VFL team
VWFL team
VFDL team.
With all the goverment funding we seem to be getting for boosting our growth in the western region could be something worth investing.

Would require a lot of changes to my idea but it's something that could boost memberships and overall growth in the Western Region of Victoria.
I am pretty sure academies are only available in non-AFL states. That's why Collingwood had there hands in a NSW one. Maybe we could do Tassie, but I highly doubt it.

Norf or hawks would want tassie since they play games down there

It's bloody great that we have 5 picks between 26 and 46, in a draft described as incredibly "deep and even". Good list management.

Agree with this. Also like that we have two sets of consecutive picks which means if there are two players available that we want, we won't have to make a tough decision. Or if there is a slider allows us to pick them and whoever we were originally targeting at that range.

Dale Morris is a medium defender not tall, that has been an issue for the past 10 years as he has had to play out of position so much

Pearce is technically delisted, will probably be rookied

Murphy listed as a small defender but wood is medium - Murphy is 1cm taller than Wood ??

Lot of inside midfielders there, how long will it take to restructure the list from the Macca era to have it more balanced ??

Yeah and?

that is in order of how she'd take them, not how she thinks it'll play out
obviously ;)
No that's the order she rates them, not the order she would take them. The best 1-30, but each club has requirements that are different. She mentions that in this years draft all clubs top 5s would be different. Which makes it a very interesting draft.
This year I get the feeling clubs will be drafting on a needs based style. Particularly the earlier picks,
Really looking forward to seeing the strategy of clubs involved at the pointy end of the draft. With picks 26/27 I think we are in the position of just sitting and hoping.
Interesting that Wright rated so high by Emma but is expected to be drafted later, Shifter Sheehan has Wright high also.

Paige's latest mock has us taking:

Vickers-willis
Menadue
Wigg
Langdon
Keitel

We be happy with that??

McDonald for Vickers? Noticed he was lower, also Mckenzie was available

Happy with Vickers-Willis, Menadue and Keitel, gigantic meh to Wigg and Langdon.

I wouldn't pass on McDonald at 26 if available, nor Drummond at 45/46.

From a non-Bulldogs perspective, I like Laverde to Collingwood at 5, and Goodyear to Richmond at 52.
