Typing on the phone is a pain in the arse, but the short of it is we may have thought that nominating both would have seen us pay to higher price overall, especially before trade week knowing that Higgins and Jones were going (forget Griffen). By not nominating Foster and having to use a second or third round on one of them, by triggering another team to bid , we could now effectively take Foster for pick 46 and Cordy for pick 62(?). Both usual speculative picks anyway, also avoiding the need to cut harder pre draft. Hope that makes sense.

It does make sense actually, but with the depth of this draft from all accounts Foster will be a rookie at best, or a late pick to another team due to our rookie elevations. Hopefully we can rookie him, there's an open forward spot at Footscray to learn in

Really wish we had snapped up either Norf or Carltons 20's picks. Something like:

McDonald, Menadue, Blakey would have been pretty damn tasty and we can do that with the gap to 39.

Still at least too good picks though.

Which is why we pass up McKenzie, get good ball users and kick it to our big, fast, good marking saviour of saviours, Tom Boyd!?

Just personal opinion mind you, but I think it'll be easier to find a someone we like as a mid later in the draft (Webb, Wigg, Gore) that it would be to find a KPF - at a genuine KPF size and talent.

I also think having two KPF's is better than one. Although I'm not sure I've actually seen this in my lifetime - so it just may be rumour and conjecture - no factual basis to it.

Seems to have come back into top 10 contention in the last phantoms. I see him around the 12-15 mark but maybe gws pull the trigger early due to their back line needs. Would be shocked if he made it past 20.

I can't believe Marchbank has been linked to GWS at #6. Why would they pass on Lever and Durdin for him? Their drafting is seriously questionable.

And De Goey at #5 is too. I'd take Laverde and Duggan over him aswell as others.

Its that word 'upside' Marchbank is born somewhere in December
so he is still only 17

obviously they see more upside in him, I thought the Pies would go with Laverde

Lever has shown so much more. And it's not like Lever's injury is the reason, Marchbank has had the same issue.

I just think GWS suck at drafting. They'll spend another top ten pick on a third tall, which Plowman is meant to be.

I think Collingwood is scared Laverde goes at pick four to GWS. Laverde
is the best player in the draft, ceiling of a homeless man.
