I was actually impressed by Pickett based on his highlights package alone. Hit targets by foot, good evasion, good speed.

Impossible to really get a good idea of their talent without watching them live.
Only saw him play the one game (it was on TV) and Pickett did nothing to interest me. Soft outside runner, did have some genuine speed but that was about it for me.

We won't get anything for Waite unless the club he goes to has signed him up on seriously big money.
Word on Twitter is he may be getting offered as much as $400k on a 2-year contract with no strings attached. Anyone care to suggest whether this would get us compo in Band 4 or 5 at all?

I'm officially on the Lever bandwagon with our first pick now. Looked at more footage and he just seems to have some special football traits. #leverinblue2015
If we land Jaksch, I'd go Mid with our first choice.

Having said that, there is just something about Goddard that intregues me, if someone can get him to realise his full potential I think they will have awoken a sleeping giant.

Yep - if the talk of us getting Jaskch and Jones comes to fruition, outside class/speed should be #1 priority. Still think we need a promising young KPD, however. So wouldn't be adverse to us getting Durdin or Lever then mids at our 2nd/3rd.

Gold Coast have a 3rd round compensation for Collingwood losing Josh Fraser - an 18 game Suns veteran.

(Which the pies used to draft Fasolo and the eagles tom barrass)

Joke of a system.

I think Sam Durdin would would be a better choice

Read below & have a look at this link: http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport...986030328?nk=ccc1b69b944d86fca16648b2d1c41ca9

SAM DURDIN
(West Adelaide)

Key position/ruck

18, 197cm, 87kg

AFL national talent manager Kevin Sheehan: “He’s in the conversation about the top 10, maybe the top five. He’s come from a long way back because of his thumb injury but he’s a brilliant size, can play at both ends of the ground and has courage and a real presence about him in the air. He’s a quietly spoken fella but when he’s out on the ground he’s as competitive as they come.’’

Pickett does look good, if he's available for our 2nd round pick I'd agree worth selecting. With his height and athleticism who knows!

Quietly spoken? No thanks.

We need strong dominant personalities. Don't have a weak amateur coach anymore who needs weak compliant footballers.

Strong and boisterous are not the same. Hodge has a strong dominant personality but he's hardly boisterous.
I know what you're saying but not all 17 year old kids have dominant personalities at such a young age.

You won't skip over quality just because someone may be shy. What if the next 10 players were of the same nature? Skip them for the natural leaders?

No we don't ignore the next Kouta because he's shy.
