We should get J+J but still need a long-term A-grade KPP so getting Durdin/Wright wouldn't be too tall. From what I gather, my Power Rankings would be:

1. Petracca
2. Brayshaw
3. McCartin
4. Durdin
5. Wright
6. Laverde
7. Lever

Guaranteed to get one of these guys unless there's someone else the club has planned ala Cripps last year.

New question: is there a bolter in 2014 yet? Last year it was Bonts, year before Plowman and Buntine before him.

Perhaps it'll be Lever this year? Was rated 1-2 before injury and hasn't played virtually at all so would suggest he'd drop ala Menzel. But could he be risked after clubs saw Menz's progress and nab him top 3?

Would potentailly allow Brayshaw/Wright to slide...

From the "Combine" thread on the "Draft" board

The top 10 in each category are posted on the AFL website. Having all results would be ideal though.

Very excited about Nakia Cockatoo (188cm, 84kg). Not sure where he projects as a pick, but has surely raised his stock considerably over the past week, both on-field and in testing. Scored 29/30 on the kicking test, was #6 in the 20m sprint (2.91 seconds), #1 in the repeat sprint test (23.93 seconds), #5 in standing vertical jump (73cm) and #6 in running vertical jump (89cm) at the Draft Combine. Has played as a third tall/key defender type in NT, but projects more as a big-bodied mid (comparisons have been made to Patrick Dangerfield), and is apparently a good contested ball winner with explosive pace. Was BOG in the Young Guns game that acted as a curtain-raiser to the AFL Grand Final this year too.

Could Cockatoo be the bolter for this year ??? Phantoms seem to have him around the mid-late 2nd rd mark but those results are pretty impressive.

#6/7 is too early and he should be gone by #26/27, only chance would be if we did pull off a trade involving #6 to get a couple of late first rounders... can't see it happening at the moment though
Garlett is an interesting one for mine.
Can't see him going inside the top 20, but honestly could go anywhere in the the next 30 picks.
Would love to see him in Navy Blue next year.

I know fairly confidently that he felt that it was too big of a Carlton old boys club, and that Andrew McKay was the one who wanted Cripps after only seeing him a few times where Luke didn't rate Cripps more than a late 2nd rounder, McKay over ruled him, Luke went to Sticks with his concerns in which the response was McKay is a Carlton legend and if he believes in it strongly enough I am prepared to back him in, in which Luke immediately handed in his resignation.

I can confidently call bull dust on the one.

Great to see another couple of Irish boys get picked up today.
Of course we could have no say in proceedings, as their first names weren't Ciaran. :)

Just sorry that one had to go to Essendon at this point in time. Dodoro (C4) sold the reason for the pick-up all so eloquently..............not.

They've got to get clean players from somewhere....given their loss of draft picks.

Read about Tyler Keitel today in Emma's article and boy sound like another judd in his approach to football. Totally professional.

"Tyler is probably the most professional player in our group. He leaves no stone unturned and he really plans everything out and make sure his training, his recovery, all the little things are done well.

Anyone got any opinions on where Abaina Davis 193cm, 86kg would go in the draft.

Jason Saddington, NSW/ACT Rams: "Abe is extremely competitive. He's a key position forward or back and he has a really good engine for his size, he'll run the 3km in 10.30, so once he becomes a bit more explosive he'll be able to play more midfield roles. He's got good hands and he's a good reader of the footy, he rolls off his player at the right time to intercept the footy and he's usually one step ahead of everyone."
