More of a disappointment, of course you want a healthy list early in season but rarely happens. Hope it is super minor but its fact we went to trouble gettjng him and loosing Waite, Robinson, Lucas and Garlett for nothing is crap
I understand being disappointed at the situation, but I fail to see how it's Jaksch's fault that the others left. And we didn't exactly lose them for nothing--we 'lost' them in favour of a stronger culture and a particular direction moving forward.

And I'm the one going off topic!

was a typo I meant I'm the gettjng annoyed. I know what your trying to do make me go off topic so not going to happen. Unless this is draft related not interested. I wish kristian all the best

I'm reading on thoughts and updates on draft and potential first round, ATM like the election saying 'too close to call' but honestly just hoping Weller or Pickett drop, good talent
STOP trying to dictate the direction of a thread whether it's off topic or not.
You have repeated yourself several times and we GET IT!

It is getting very tiresome!

Hope so. Robbo was dissapointed in him but his worth at least 3rd or 4th same with Jeffy. Could of used picks to strengthen draft position but it does happen.

Tomorrow 9 days til draft so praying pieces start to fit with where draftees will head. Even if we're say picks 8-13 would be hard. Tomorrow I predict more headaches than answers trying to guess 19 hard enough predicting top10

I saw that coming a mile away.

Do you have inside info that the Club is starting to get annoyed with Jaksch or it it that you are still annoyed that we traded pick 7!

You keep bringing up pick 7. It's GONE.

You need to get over it!
Whatever happened to Pick7 ?

Nobody is trying to make you do anything, so before you assume and accuse people of things, take a good look at yourself because it's a bit hypocritical. Same as assuming the club is getting annoyed and when people call you on it you call it a typo. Make up your mind.
I have said this before and I'll say it again, a forum is going to have banter and discussions, it won't always "stay on topic", all part of it.

I haven't posted before but have watched a lot of junior footy and past history has shown I have a "reasonable" gut instinct for players.

My pick this year is Weller. It bothers me GC aren't keen on him because he has trained with them. But if I had pick 1 I would pick Weller. If he slides to 19 I will be SO happy I don't know what I will do.

There is some definite 200 game players in this draft and hopefully we snare two with picks 19 and 28. I also like Blakey and Lever (but Lever is no chance of getting to us). I think Kietel is someone we should role the dice on at 28 if Blakey or equivalent is not there. I really like his reading of the play and attitude.

'No such thing as a draft smokey': Chris Pelchen sorts fact from fiction

1. "We will pick the best available player."
Fiction – There is some truth to this statement, particularly in the early selections of the draft, but it is more a common term of phrase used by clubs in the media than anything of substance. Obviously recruiters are reluctant to divulge their intentions prior to the draft so it is more convenient to use the above statement rather than identify positional needs and risk exposing proposed strategies. But clubs are very conscious of team structures as the draft progresses and when the talent base becomes less clearly definable, greater attention is applied to positional requirements as the priority.
Not a bad read......even if written by Pelchan.

You'd take Wellar over Petracca?
IMO Petracca is the best player in this draft and has been since July when he turned it on in the Champs.

I do like Wellar, but I have him falling somewhere in the 6-12 range at this stage.

I would.

I don't rate Petracca at all. Think he will be just a very average AFL player. I am likely to be 100% wrong but I don't see him transitioning to AFL well.

You've put your credentials on the line there. From just reading up on them it sounds like Brayshaw & Heeney are the better mids, but Petracca is the most damaging.
