We know that we will get Moore at our first pick, but who do you think we will look at with our latter picks Knightmare?

This far out you can't even connect names to the club.

We often draft in themes so this year we may look to go with a tall theme injecting some more key position players and a ruckman or two.

We may add some more outside pace/skill and a crumber.

Could be a combination of both.

More will be known as the draft draws closer.

So you would even say Moore to Pies is still up in the Air very Much?

I agree that something Extadonary would have to happen to us to pass on Moore - Injury Wise or us having a Top 4-5 Pick

How do you rate the draft chances of the guys from the Northern Knights?

If we had pick 4 or 5 it would be unlikely that a team with a pick before us would bid on Moore so we would get him second round

Well that is True that we could get Moore in the 2nd Round if we had Pick 4 or 5

We could but with the amount of wins we have we are not going to finish that low and the bidding is done before the trade period starts

So we will take him with our 1st Round pick IF we do

Not sure their is much if, I hear he is already training at the Westpac Centre two days a week and will be playing VFL when the carnival is over. He may turn out to be way overrated or he may be by far better then his dad either way he will be at Collingwood next year.

Well I am talking in Extreme Reason like if his Body Breaks Down or He does not Tick other things.

Though I have it at 90% that we draft him

Moore would not be second round in that situation. F/S bidding happens before trade week.

Of the Northern Knights guys Langford, Castagna, McDonagh, Short and McKenzie all have draft chances.

Not sure how many VFL game he will play for us as he is Captain of the Oakleigh Chargers those Tom Langdon left as Captain of the Sandy Dragons to play for the Sandy Zebras in the VFL

It is not really up to Oakleigh, TAC clubs first and foremost look to develop players for them to be drafted if that is what Collingwood wants that is where he will go. Luke McDonald played VFL last year instead of being at Oakliegh

If he turns out to be "way better" than a dual Brownlow medallist then it's going to be an enjoyable decade to be a Pies fan, to say the least.

North Committed to McDonald and that is why he Played VFL all ear

Yes they did and we would have had to have done that to be able to play Moore in our VFL side before the champs but when they are over and he can play for Collingwood's VFL side Oakliegh wont stand in his way.

Doubt we would Commit to him that Early though. I think Hine would rate to the last moment

We played Kelly last year and he ended up at Adelaide, if Moore was a year older (same age as Luke McDonald) we would have committed to him a year out so another club was not able to take him in the mini draft. Now we don't need to do that we are not going to and you probably will never see it again

I highly doubt Hine would of gone a year early on Moore.

The Mini-Draft was the Only Reason that he was Committed too and I am not sure what would of Happened to Moore and he was coming off his Major Hip Surgery

But you could have a club like the dogs who lack in KPP who see the potential in Moore got him in the mini draft and then targeted someone like Goddard in the draft. Also when North did commit to McDonald they only had to use their last pick in the draft on him if it back fired. But no need to debate what may have happened.

Well there is no Mini-Draft anymore so it does not matter anymore

What about Ben Moloney from our VFL Side. Always seems to be in the Best. Good Rookie Draft Pick?

http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/season/vfl/players/ben-moloney

Very good VFL mid. Not AFL quality and certainly not Collingwood relevant with our midfield star studded.

If we look at adding another onballer at some point it needs to be someone who offers the team something really unique and unlike what we have. A tall, strong bodied monster of an onballer would be what I'd consider going after if a guy projects as a real difference maker at AFL level and as someone who could be a part of our best team to play alongside Pendlebury, Beams and Macaffer.

If they're not this then you'd want a midfielder who is particularly fast or skilled and capable in other positions, as one example overager Nathan Drummond is a guy who comes to mind with his ball winning ability through the midfield but then his explosive linebreakingpace and 1v1 strength also allowing him not only ability through the midfield but also the versatility to play a role down back.
