Anyone know anything about Connor Menadue? Read a bio that describes him as a Ryan Griffen clone, which sounds absolutely awesome (as I rate Ry Gri higher than Deledio), but another comparison is Kieran Harper which doesn't overly excite me

lol where did all this talk come form about bonts vs billings.

watching bonts last year i didnt rate him in my top 10 last year (due to most times i saw him he was nothing special), the billings pick was the right one at the time. doesnt matter if he doesnt turn into an A grader, at the time thiers no doubt all 18 clubs would of picked billings at 3

FWIW Rahul in the phantom draft here got us taking McLaren from sandi with our 3rd.

I've been having a look at some of the phantom drafts & most have Menadue going 25-30, but the article on him predicted a possible slide & said that he would be gold for a pick after 40 (if he slid that far). Would like to get Knightmare & Rahul opinion if he slid to our 3rd rounder (pick 40-odd)

Menadue might not get to our 3rd pick, I was assuming you were talking about taking him at our 2nd round pick (21 assuming) since he was expected to go around 28 in KM's draft. I DEFINITELY wouldn't take him at 21, would be more open to the idea of getting him 38-40 though.

For example if our first 3 picks are left as it is (just for argument's sake) I'd take...
#1: Christian Petracca
#21: Corey Ellis/Connor Blakely/Harrison Wigg
#38: Reece McKenzie/maybe a Tyler Keitel/Tall Forward

That way we address our midfield needs and a tall forward needs.

I like those selections. Petracca is the gold

But say we win a few games & we end up with pick 3-4, would you be happy with taking Brayshaw/Wright/McCartin, or would you do the Jeremy Cameron trade for our first round pick?

Not scored an invite to Draft Camp, but on numbers alone has had a fantastic season, better than his B&F winning season last year.

Not seen him in the flesh, but he want drafted last year and seems like he'll miss out again; there must be something that recruiters don't like...

If Jeremy Cameron was available directly for pick 3 or 4, definitely do the trade, but I'm afraid it's likely going to cost us more then that. I'd say Armo is off limits if they're interested in him and our first pick, since he's our next captain, I'm confident of that. But I'd be more open to the idea of trading Armo and pick 3 or 4 for Cameron and pick 20, maybe throw in Whiley like has been suggested. Maybe if we trade pick 3/4 and Gilbert/Gwilt for Cameron. Idk.
I wouldn't mind taking Brayshaw but I'm not sure about McCartin, if it looks like Wright and Petracca are gone before our first pick then I'd do the trade for Cameron.

And yeah hopefully Weller makes it to our second selection, Gold Coast really like him though and they have 2 first round picks (a compensation after Geelongs first pick) and I still think they'll take Weller.

I think he's certainly in the top 50 for draft prospects and is a likely 3rd round selection, but I would prefer Webb, Miller or Viojo-Rainbow if we had the chance to take one of those 3 with our 3rd selection. Menadue isn't built and I don't think he'll ever have the build to play midfield in the AFL.
