Lucky you aren't a list manager, we would be playing state league. Who were you on last year? The bloke from Freo who got traded to Melbourne who can't crack a game in the Scorpions two's?

Yes i was the only one on the saints board who mentioned him.

You seem to know everything, i forgot we must like who Brian likes. Lesson learnt

In fairness Viv Michie was tearing it up in the WAFL. I would have liked to have seen him in RW&B based on his WAFL form.

Everyone's hormones aside, what midfielders do we all rate in this draft? Remove Jack Steven and Luke Dunstan and we are almost as deficient of future midfield talent as we are forward talent.

The obvious ones people have mentioned are Lachie Weller, Angus Brayshaw and then it sort of becomes less clear.

Paddy said on twitter he is 193.7cm i think.

So closer to 194...Suddenly he doesn't sound too short to be a KPP. I'm definitely in the Paddy bandwagon.

Interestingly Sam Landsberger reckons it's that close at the top of the draft it may depend on which clubs holds pick 1 that determines which draftee is picked 1. He said Wright number 1 if the Lions finish bottom or Paddy if we finish bottom.

Isaac Heeney, Jarrod Pickett, Christian Petracca, Liam Duggan are all pretty good.

19year old Hugh Beasley, a guy i have been tracking this year for the chargers is playing VFL this week.

Watch this space player, with Langdon showing 19year olds should be drafted if thier form shows it i think Beasley could be the one this year

Watched Beasley and Waddell in Port Development league, both were good with Beasley's first half outstanding in defence - Waddell finished strongly once he got into the game - two good Oakleigh prospects as 19 year olds.

When Jon Anderson gave a tick for paddy's kicking, is he referring to his field kicking cause his kicking for goal is atrocious.Does Anderson know what he's talking about?

Jon Anderson has Paddy McCartin listed as 194cms and as the number one draftee in his potential top 20.

Field kicking not important considering he's a deep forward, but his goal kicking is awful. His confidence is shot in front of goal.

On Paddy, another superb write-up from Paige...

For anybody brave enough to get in McCartin’s way, there is trouble brewing. McCartin has the courage of Jonathan Brown and the physicality of Travis Cloke, and is more than a handful for opposition players to wrap their head around. Safe to say for current West Coast player Dom Sheed who made that mistake, and like a bowling ball McCartin cleaned up Sheed – a courageous player in his own right – with such force that he broke his collar bone.

A year with Roo and whoever helped his kicking might fix that though? Would include Lee in that but his set shot kicking has turned to crap so far.

E: It is a pretty big worry though, but the fact that he is a decent field kick shows that it is mental and not to do with his basic kicking motion.

I haven't seen as much of Keitel as I would have liked, but again he's not playing for a very good WA team so it's hard to compare him with say Wright, who is receiving outstanding service from Ellis, Petracca, Brayshaw, Miller, De Goey and Duggan. Comparing between drafts is even more difficult, too difficult in this instance. What I will say is that McCarthy's opponents were not of great quality, while this year's talls have faced better defenders. Similarly this year's defenders have faced much better tall forwards.

Serious question - Is Wright worthy of pick #1 or does his stacked midfield make him look better than he is?

Cameron Conlan? LMAO.

Worth a late pick/rookie punt if he makes it that far. Couldn't be any worse than what Spencer White has shown...

McCartin benefitting from Mathieson, Tucker, Parish, Dunkley, Capiron, Cunico etc. Is he (Wright) worthy of #1? Unsure. Would I take him at 1 in this draft? Yes.

Edit: he meaning Wright.

My real question is, who is this year's Delaney? A player who is playing second fiddle to a gun in his role/position, and thus is not getting any games - therefore seriously underrated, and thus cheap, but still actually awesome.
