had a shocker playing for Perth today. should have been reported for kneeing hampson in the head.

barely got it until released as a spare man. when he did get a kick, turned his back to the play and held the ball up to the subi members

all he wants to do is hurt people. cant keep up. looks unfit. doesnt put in the effort defencively even though hes meant to be a s HBF/small defender

Well can't see I was ever overly keen on him, but I've already picked my favourites for this year :D (cough URBAN cough)

Looking at the remainder of the draw and considering we may improve for Sir Lenny Hayes and sneak a few winnable games theres a chance we finish with a first round pick anywhere between 1-5, if we go ahead of GWS, Bris and Melb on the ladder and Melb get a band 1 priority pick for Frawley. Now this really changes our first round pick especially if we kick off with pick 5!

Its safe to say McCartin, Wright and Petracca will be gone by pick 5. Brayshaw a safe pick but like Wines a bit vanilla so may slide with a team favouring flavour of the month and more fashionable guys such as Ahern, Laverde or Pickett.

Hypothetically, if McCartin, Wright, Petracca and Brayshaw are gone, who do we go for? I'd say we would be looking at Durdin, Ahern, Laverde and Pickett.

I'd go Laverde.

Its also possible that we could go into the last round with 4 wins each for 4 teams.
If percentage doesn't change much we could be in the situation of Win= pick 4 , lose = pick 1.
Would make it very hard to "not tank" against a tigers team battling for ninth.

Aint nobody beating a Tigers team battling for ninth...

Durdin or Laverde for me as well.

Durdin the perfect Fisher replacement. Clean hands, strong mark and very good skills. Laverde would add that outside pace and class we need. Ahern too small. Pickett doesn't get enough ball.

Look our win on the weekend was brilliant but i still think a bottom three finish still probably the spoon is where we'll be come the end of the season, if i'm proven wrong so be it.

You are likely right. The betting odds suggest the same. But a win over the weekend opened up the bottom 4. All bottom 4 teams on 4 wins, we are bottom on percentage by just 1.7%. We may be off the bottom by the end of this round.

I really want Petracca. Get him and then draft Reece McKenzie or somebody later on, we get a good big forward we need and the best player of the draft, win situation. And then look to try and get a Corey Ellis or Connor Blakely late first/early second round.

Melbourne play both GWS and Brisbane in the remaining rounds, so the chance of all 4 teams remaining on 4 wins going into the final game is immensely remote. All teams may be on 5 by then though, creating the same dilemma.

That must have been it. I did a ladder predictor and it came out that way.
Would be good if the Richmond game was a dead rubber to give Lenny a proper send off.

Uncle Barrels alternate account spotted!

I agree, one game does not make a season and I think we will more than likely be last or second last. Pick 1 or 2

Well... THIS throws the cat amongst the pigeons a bit...
lever at 194 cm and still growing 89 kilos fit in ripping shape,2 triathlons he is doing, he has been told not to bother playing this year be ready round 1 next year from a number of clubs he is a massive massive unit watch this space and getting bigger .
With thanks to the Berry...

The (almost) forgotten man. Was looking like a top 3 pick until his knee went.

Would love to get hold of pick 10 or so & grab Lever. We don't really have anyone looking likely to be able to play that half back quarterback role that BJ & Chips played so well for so long. A vital cog to have IMO.

If he ends up barreling past the magic 195cm mark into genuine KPP size, and retains his agility post-ACL to go along with his nous, intercept ability and skills, and puts on some bulk, he'd be an absolute steal and a 15yr multiple-AA CHB.

UNC!!!

SOS
Scarlett
Glass
etc
etc

Talent is the number 1 priority.

Regardless of whether he's available or we want him...a Pick around 10 would be awesome, even if it means another big trade.

Absolutely no doubt - although SOS played in a wholly different era - it would just be handy.

The 194cm that Mr Berry suggests he is currently is plenty. He'd be a fantastic get for us. If he's over his injury issues then I'd almost be inclined to take him at our first pick.

If we somehow snagged two first rounders then I'd be suggesting Petracca and Lever as our picks; we can survive on Roo, Stanley and Bruce as KPFs with input from Lee and White for another year if those two are on offer.

In time...

FB: Wright - Delaney - Roberton
HB: Webster - Lever - Savage

Allowing Bruce to go forward if we want... Yum. Has versatility, speed and good footskills... and a gorilla-tamer...
