Thanks for the insight on your perspective and I appreciate your honesty.
You really don't rate the forwards in this draft very highly do you?
No interest in Davis, Cripps, Bevan, Watchman, Eddy or Featherstone?
No, No, No, Not really, No, No.
Chris25 now suggests calling GWS's bluff on Finlayson as an academy/zone selection, rather than letting them get him for a third round pick. Hammelmann? Any thoughts?

Hammelmann is a good prospect for the Lions, they'll be getting good value for he, Liam Dawson and Harris Andrews this year. Finlayson I don't rate, but I would consider bidding on Hammelmann (or even Dawson) with our second. I don't rate McCartin as highly as some, I like Wright but too many see him as a ruckman, I'd rather he play up forward where he is very strong on the lead with his length and endurance. McCartin is a bit of a 1-effort player, he lacks defensive intensity.

I noticed an interview with Wright where he considers himself mainly as a forward who pinch-hits in the ruck.
Are we too focussed on other people's opinions of him, or the "look" of a player?
Are we kidding ourselves that there'll be a forward (eg Cameron) we can trade for this year or a "beauty" next year?
Don't want to look a gift-horse in the mouth.

Surely a Tippett type "forward who can pinch in ruck " is what many teams want.

The path less travelled.
Putting it out there to solve the KPF problem (if we can't seduce Cameron)....
Take Wright
or trade pick 1 to get....
  • McKenzie and a DeGoey, Laverde, Ahern or Weller
  • or McKenzie and a very good AFL player looking for more opportunities
  • or McKenzie and a pick upgrade
  • or substitute Hammelmann for McKenzie and replay those options

And if McKenzie doesn't make the grade?

Still hoping Spencer White can make us proud before the seasons out. He clunked a few today and had some presence. Great to see Sandy winning again.
Our appeal as a place to be needed some excitement.

He Played for Vic Metro against Western Australia in Perth... Was Selected for both the 2nd Vic Country game and 1st South Australia game but was carrying a footy injury and was cut from the final squad after that, get your facts straight
No need for the tone pal.

Reece, if you haven't played Planetside 2 for awhile you should totally try it out again. They have made huge improvements since last year and it is basically a totally different and better game.

PS: Tank your interviews so we can select you in the rookie draft. Thanks in advance. I'd also advise against posting on or reading any BigFooty forums again, I just can't see it ending well.

Be careful with forums and social media young fella, you need to stick to trying to get a kick against half decent opposition, you were very poor in the AGS v APS game on Saturday.
I suggest you need to drop 10kgs and work on your agility, but hey, what would I know?
If you were any good you would be playing for an APS school ;)
