He got the highest score in the kicking test at the combine, hitting 29 of the 30 targets (on both feet), so I don't think you need to be worrying about that too much!

Just from a physical POV, strength-wise he could obviously play, given that he already weighs 107kg (!), but I believe his tank would need a lot of work before he is ready to step out on an AFL ground, otherwise whoever was playing on him could just run off him all day long.

He does look like someone who could very well be available around our 2nd and 3rd picks after having been talked about by some as top 10 quality at times this year. Is yet another one in this year's crop with a relatively late year birthday (October) and is also still relatively light, so could have quite a lot of upside to him. Looked to have a very nice left foot in the glimpses I saw of him in the champs this year.

The thing with Petracca is that he is coming off a very strong basketball background, where short sharp bursts of running are what's mostly required and as such he doesn't yet have the endurance/running ability that he will need for AFL footy, so that is one area where he has a lot of improvement in him. I imagine he will also have plenty to learn about playing midfield still.

The thing with him though is that he just has so many attributes that translate well to senior AFL footy and particularly to the highly contested brand of footy that you see in finals, so I see no reason at all why he won't be able to dominate games of footy in the AFL, all things being equal.
Just on the first reply "buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrnnnnnnnnn" gold

This is the guy I want with pick 21/22 & I think we have the picks to just get him.

He ticks a lot of boxes: Explosive, quick, elite endurance, outside receiver & loves a goal.

Connor Menadue – Western Jets
Height: 188cm, Weight: 69kg, DOB: 19/09/1996

Will be gone by then. A lot of talent & will become a very good player if put in the right development system. I think with our improved player development he would become a sound investment. A lot of upside. He could be anything.

Would rather Oscar McDonald tbh
That's a reach. He could very well be there at 41.

I will be happy if we go;
1 - Petracca (inside/outside goal kicking mid & clearly the best player in the draft)
21 - Neal-Bullen (inside mid)
22 - Menadue (outside mid)
41 - McDonald (best KPP avail)

Of course this changes if there is a clear slider we rate very highly.

i owuld rather IMO better outside mids over mendenue.

If you compare Connor Menadue's draft camp results with Nakia Cocokatoo's, Connor was dragging anchor.

I can't see Oscar McDonald going past Melbourne at 40. Obviously, with the caveat that there isn't a slider that we really like at 22. Menadue has the athletic attributes, but has too much bust potential IMO.

I very much doubt Cockatoo will be there at 21.
Garlett I see as a big risk for go home factor.
Cavka seems a little vanilla.
Wouldn't say vinallia at all, both games I saw him play against sandy he looked impressive and by all accounts his finals form was amazing. The Calder coach always has big raps for him aswell
