So have they decided to elevate all 4 rookies?? Minch + Shents have to be and apparently will be, Eli has been and you would think Weller will be elevated after a good tagging jobs..

Not sure if we should be interested in anyone that can't make it at Melbourne, but..

A lot of people like to compare us to Port...could Blease could be our version of Matt White? Super quick goal kicker? Have to admit I don't know a lot about him but he always torched us.

I wouldn't have thought so. If the plan is for Eli to be a mid eventually we could still use a super quick tackling/goal scoring machine.

Que? provided genuine x factor and gave beautiful delivery into forward 50. On top of that he had a pretty ridiculous purple patch for Sandy playing in the middle. I definitely think we should persist with him, and all signs are pointing to us doing so.

Better skills than probably half our list and looks like he could be a small forward who rotates through the midfield. Very important these days. :thumbsu:

He's got nice skills but they aren't much use when he can barely get a touch. I don't think he should be getting the axe but I don't think he's really earned an upgrade either.

If I've judged Pelchen correctly, then I don't think he's going anywhere until he thinks his job is done.
Plus, he didn't get along with Watters, because Watters took the Malthouse approach to coaching. Why would he get along with Malthouse 12 months later?

IMO you couldn't be more wrong...

In the last four weeks in the VFL he averaged 23 touches and 1.5 goals per game.

At senior level this season, he's played 3 games, 2 as the sub, but showed composure, pace and very good skills, and averaged 9.3 disposals and 1.3 goals.

Bear in mind he's not even 21 yet, and had injury issues early in his time with us. He'll be a good 'un.
 
I feel like us waiting on the transfer period results to re-sign or cut schneider means we've got our sights on bringing saad back. Can't see how they both fit on our list, and the saints might be waiting to see if saad has a better offer or goes elsewhere before severing ties with schneider. A bit of security if things don't work out.

I feel it's more about the trade period with Schnides.

Say for example GWS trade us Jaksch, Pick 3, Pick 20 & Pick 23 for Pick 1...i'd assume Schnides gets the chop. I wouldn't assume its Schnides or Saad...it will be purely about opportunity during Trade Week.

Pretty confident Saad will go in the ND anyway (be taken before the Rookie Draft)
 
Interesting that GWS's four most talent players (IMO), Shiel, Treloar, Boyd and Cameron have not committed beyond next year. Look at our club for example. We are signing up all our talented kids. I wonder if we are still trying to shake one free dangling pick 1 in front of them?
