Abbott is actually related to the Postcard Bandit, fairly closely I think too

If we were targeting Pickett and WCE get him then it's time to rage at Bond for allowing that last pick trade to happen between ADE & GEE.

After watching Apeness, Alex Pearce and Taberner running about on the weekend and liking their games (and Tanner Smith in the wings) I started thinking about the draft and wondering what we may be thinking about with our first couple of picks and with trades/free agency.

I feel we're a bit exposed for pace at the back and a smallish/mid size, quick defender may not go astray.
Like a Jarman Impey or Nick Smith
Another ball winning, inside midfielder although if Sylvia and Morabito continue on their upward path this may be less pressing.

If Josh can get his stuff together we're ok on the outside.

One more CHF/FF type? A utility? Or do we take the runner with the best skills?

So to quote my first post, looks like Taberner and Apeness and Pearce will have the work pumped into them, Josh Simpson is in some peril IMO, and we may end up with a mid or utility at our first pick

So after are two weeks of wasting time, what is the opinion of other BF posters, are we set for a mini rebuild, or is our list
top 4 material?
I think a mini rebuild is on the cards, top 4 will involve a lot of luck, and I think we will just miss out, our KP depth, experience
is an issue.
If we can snare McGovern, Keitel, with our picks I will be happier.
First round pick a versatile midfielder with height, Langford, etc. then best available Tall, get it wrong and Bond and co should walk
the plank.

Apparently Kersten has a contract for 2015 (from Geelong board), although I can't see it announced anywhere.
I couldn't find it. Kersten and Hamling both signed an extension at the same time and Hamling is done.

I asked the queston on the cats board, apparently Balme mentioned it on Trade Radio but nothing official. It may be a wait and see.

The response from the cats board are
1. He is, believed to be next year only. I think due to wanting more time to develop by playing in the ones.

2. didn't think he was either. I thought he signed a one year deal at the end of 2013. So can't help with any confirmation. I can only trust that Balme knows what he's talking about (and after this trade period that may be generous ;))

3. Don't think so.
Someone mentioned Balme saying he is. But we've seen nothing.
