Not really phantom drafts are only a rough guide and many player outside the top few picks can rise and fall a great deal.
Afl.com says tall forward/midfielder.

Yeah I agree - the point was more looking at 'someone could have been pick 1 if they were more consistent' as a positive, where equally Tom could turn out like a #1 pick who has gone nowhere due to inconsistency (and poor development) - there's a bit of risk with Tom

Angus' WA roots are linked to his choice of football team because he followed his mum's lead and barracks for Fremantle.
A 187cm midfielder, he loves watching David Mundy, Nat Fyfe, and Ryan Crowley play.
Tom Lamb fits the mould of the Freo draftee, high endurance, tall, versatile, I can see us taking him in the first round. Does he address a need? Probably not, would Lloyd take him, absolutely. I wouldn't mind him to be honest, high risk high reward player. Could turn out a star.
freo is good that way now (even though we would like to know) you never hear anything that is discussed in meetings between clubs. I can only guess that Grif, Hannath, C Pearce and perhaps Sheridan might have been discussed.
What you do hear is bloody managers running off at the mouth when trying to get the best 'price' for their players. Fair dinkum I swear they bring Freo's name in every discussion.

Agree. Hadn't heard much about him but sounds like there's plenty to work with (or upside as people are wont to say).
Lamb's old man played 21 games for Melbourne and Fitzroy without a single win, that's gotta suck.

Even though i like this idea i dont want the get to obsessed with WA players like the eagles are. Our culture is good and we keep vic players pretty well.
No fear of that, we very seldom seldom draft WA kids these days.

Interesting article on Freo website inferring strongly that we will have only picks 13 and 34. As far as I know you must take three selections. If the rule hasn't chsnged it strongly suggests that we will delist Duffy or Simpson and redraft then to the main list.
Draft day will be a fizzer too with just the two selections.

Thats true. They either go earlier than our pick if they are good or to west coast if they are average.

Hey we are a bit touchy right now. The one player we really wanted went to the team that beat us in the grannie in 13 and the other player we sort of wanted was from WA but chose the team we got knocked out by this year.
