I feel reasonably confident this is what we will do. Josh delisted and rookie listed.
It serves a few purposes;
a; It drives home to Josh the seriousness of his actions in missing the flight
b; It reinforces the message that your effort and attitude need to be sustained.
c; This imposes on Josh actions are required not mere words.
d; It is prudent player management as he is still a degree of risk.
e; It serves the club's obligation of taking three players in the draft without losing a required player.

So why would we rookie list Simpson. We just can't send him to the rookie list. He has to be delisted and than drafted as a rookie. You could do that by redrafting him to the main list. On the rookie list he can't play. If he's right you want him on the main list so he can be available for games. He's a third year player with amazing ability. I just don't see what we would gain by having Simpson on the rookie list. Delist and redraft at 54.

Happy with didn't look at any of the fringe/reject types, but wouldn't have minded some kind of Ade/Gee deal to move up in the draft.

I really don't know what Adelaide were thinking. Dropping from 10 to 14 is far more significant than moving up later. Chances are the guy you want at 35 will still be there at 47, and odds are that guy will be a dud. Whereas at the upper end you give yourself much more chance of getting who you want. Geelong would be laughing.

Pickett looks fantastic, there's no way WC will let him past their pick. Would have been nice to jump in front of them and take him first. I reckon Geelong might have been thinking the same thing. They've got heaps of talls, and lost Christensen, so they might be looking to bring in a speedster.

Other games he looked to try to do a little too much, was a bit fumbly and made some bad mistakes. No idea where he goes but his best is stunning.

You're right, his best is pretty damn good. My only knock is his disposal. He makes Clancee and Morra's kicks look like bullet passes. This guy is the king of flower bags. He hits the target every time, but his kicks hang. 1:43 is one example, but look at all his kicks they're up and down and hang in the air. Would still be a good get, but his disposal is something he's going to have to work on.

You realise at 1:43 someone was about to smother it, but he actually kicked it up to get it over him? I wish some of our players did that against Sydney in the final. Do you think the kick at 0:56 is a flour bag because he kicked it high to weight it over the defender and to the forward's advantage? Kicking looks fine to me from the videos I've seen.

And Clancee does kick bullets with a lot of his kicks. One of the fastest and most penetrating kicks we have.

Possibly but Lamb has the height, build and also has very good endurance. I wouldn't be surprised if we rate him quite high.

We'd be lucky if Tom Lamb is still there at our first pick, let alone our second rounder. And I would suggest that the pure point of difference he brings in both the midfield and forward line, would make him exactly what we need.
