yeah one man's done well is anothers OK...

probably somewhere in between

we may aswell just stick to the rookie draft - we seem to do well in that!

Statistically we need to go for a skinny flanker ....we are due to nail that one.

I must say I really hope we just take the rated player when it's our turn and don't try and be too clever.

Chris 25 I've watched the draft tape on Watchman and he looks like the best KPP prospect of the lot . Is there something the tape isn't telling us .
He looks like the perfect Pav replacement I've seen and no one is talking about him .

Michael, reckon Durdin would be considered by the Cats at pick 10 and Richmond at 13, but is a reasonable shot to get to Adelaide;'s pick 14. There will definitely be a tall available and probably a couple of other sliders too.

Doubt Clem Smith would join the Tigers, Brent. He's a chance for one of West Coast's later selections but his fitness is a concern for some recruiters.

Fremantle recently made a home visit and could pair the Hayden Ballantyne-clone with the original, while St Kilda always keeps a close eye on the Stingrays.

And Wheeler says while Lonie’s work ethic reminds him of Sam Mitchell, the Ballantyne comparison runs deeper than having a knack of finding goals and applying forward pressure.

“He’s got some serious spunk about him,” he said.

“He doesn’t take a backwards step. There was a practice match where he was copping a bit and after kicking a couple of goals he gave it back and got in their heads.”

Lonie ranked top-10 for agility at draft camp, ran a 14.12 beep test and experts believe while he might need to serve a state-league apprenticeship in 2015, he has done enough to get a chance.

I personally can't see Geelong taking a tall after trading away Varcoe and Christesen and bringing in both Stanley and Clark. Im confident Durdin will be drafted by either us or Richmond.

Lo(o)nie might be a dollar short. And if we pair with Ballantyne when Walters pushes up would that give us a Toonie?

Looks like he can play, but watched Aidan Anderson from WA and he was another small fwd with a really good nous for the goals.

The mid draft pick optimism is building.

I hope the board goes into meltdown and we pick a skinny flanker with our first pick and grab Jarrod Garlett. Another bullet running across the wings, with good skills and goal kicking. Seems like a strong competitive player with a level of arrogance knowing he can win his contests and back himself. I think skills with that mentality is a deadly combo. Apeness, Clarke and Taberner are our talls build the midfield and add another jet.

With a bucket load of self-belief and the dedication to match, Garlett produced an excellent draft season to throw his name into first-round consideration. His years of rising at 5.30am for a six-kilometre run has paid dividends, as Garlett carries excellent aerobic capacity, and he blends that with top speed. Garlett can play at half-back, on the wing or in the forward line, and is a flank-to-flank player who sweeps it forward. Exciting, brilliant, thrilling – all of those apply to Garlett and he has the confidence to use his skills on the field. Sometimes he can bite off more than he can chew, but he's a person who aims high. When you've already taken on and got past two opponents, why not try a third?

Where does he go? Gold Coast (pick No.15), North Melbourne and Essendon are all a chance.
