Agree, but for a skinny rookie tall that's probably 2 more good games than most would have expected out of him.

Tabs is already in the 22. He's never going to be a FF. So it's Apeness then. If you're cool with all the eggs in that basket, great, more power to you. Personally, nah. Something needs to be done, and our track record at trading and FA is worse than our drafting.
I'm sure the club will no doubt keep pursuing KPPs.As I said before, I'll take notice of RTB's opinions on Apeness and tabs over any one on this forum.

I think he'll cement his spot in the 22 this year, and we are a much more noticeable team now than we were in the old days
Tabbs played sore in the his last 3 games . The kid has a big heart and talent to match all he needs is time to get his body right and he will shine IMHO .
After this pre season we will all see what he is capable of just watch and enjoy .

For a young KID to have the early impact he has had and the way he in has gone into contests already has shown us that he is brave and he can play .
It was very noticeable in the Sydney Final and even more so how sore he was against Port Adelaide that he could hardly get into a trot compared to earlier games .
We played too many sore and injured players during the finals .
Sorry to say it but we should have bitten the bullet for the Port Final and played more kids to give them a taste of finals footy .
With the injuries we had to our playing group we could not have beat Hawthorn or Sydney in the Grand final ,we had run our race and there were no more foot soldiers left to take the next step . Yes we were leading but they ran over the top of us easily.
We were in such bad shape Taberner general soreness , Clarke played with broken ribs and a punctured lung , Ibbo's shoulder , Johnsons back ,Silvagni had to pull out last minute , Elvis calf the list just went on and on at the wrong time of the season .

Tabs had a hip injury.
And we still played him in the finals so what does that say about the selectors and the choices they had to make .
This only supports my argument on who we should have played .
I'm a Claremont man and I still remember Claremont going into a Grand final with 5 injured players that could hardly walk never mind play .
Steve Malazos was one of them , I can't remember the names of the rest and we got flogged .
After 30 odd years, you Tigers supporters are still blaming injuries. My recollection of the golden era back then was of Big Ron "Roo" Boucher running circles around one mincing Graham Moss (when he didn't have Michael O'Connell by the throat).
Injuries.....how time plays games with the mind.
