just on Mitch Clark, he would need to start vigorous pre season now, he is about 30 kgs overweight...
Perfect.. Throw him at full forward and get him to play one out..

With MEL delisting him does that mean he can get selected as a delisted free agent?? Meaning can get picked up by anyone for nothing???

Jeremy Laidler couldn't get a game in a average Carlton team, now he's a regular at the best and most talented team in the comp.

Not getting games at one club doesn't automatically mean you won't thrive if given a second opportunity.

Blease is someone who I'd get as a delisted free agent, or a rookie pick if we could. Question marks on his 2 way running, but if he could fix that with us, he fills a need.
What are his kicking skills like?

No. Free agency is a 1 club deal (he played for 2 clubs).
He has to enter the draft.

I would love Mitch Clarke for sure and would get excited if he nominated Collingwood but Melbourne have supported him through his tough battle with depression and it would be nice to see him go back and I think he would want that as well.

Otherwise, come on down to the Westpac Centre and all of a sudden our forward line looks really strong.

All we need is Clarke and Frawley and we will be playing finals next year.

Not saying he is a free agent.. I believe he is a delisted free agent.. There is a difference.. Off memory Jordan Russell (can't believe i am using his as an example) was picked up by pies as a delisted free agent not through draft..

I completely forgot about that. He may well qualify as a delisted free agent. Although, not sure if the fact that he retired, thereby causing/triggering the delisting is a factor??
The club delists you...then you qualify.
You quit or retire, then maybe not?
Not sure on that.

Edit: The answer is no. Pulled this from the AFL site.
UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS

Primary List

Players delisted by a club are unrestricted free agents but a player who retires or delists himself is not eligible to be a free agent.

Question on 2 way running that's the last thing we need

Andrew Raines anyone? wont have a tagger for next season.
Lions arent giving him a new contract, so might be handy and very cheap, even for vfl.
We're rebuilding. Let's give Ramsay 22 games in the role rather than a list spot to a scrub like Raines.

Note: we don't need a tagger I would just prefer the above scenario.

He is rated very highly, has come from a long way back but has been going very well in the WAFL. Smart kid, good marks in school, works bloody hard and highly rated by the WA talent development program.

I'll see if I can find out anymore.
He is expected to go top 20 so we are unlikely to have a shot given our first pick would be too high and we have Darcy to recruit.

Only negative is his burst of speed but he has worked hard to improve that with good results. Got 25 possessions on the weekend playing in the middle against 3 ex AFL players. Had flown under the radar until this years U18 carnival but not anymore (damn!). Nearly every club has spoken to him and he is a natural leader.

"Raines — the son of former Richmond, Collingwood and Brisbane Bears star Geoff — was recruited by the Tigers with pick no.76 in the 2003 national draft."

- Been at the other 2 clubs, looks like we are next.

Arizona Cardinals, Man United,
We should get ryan o keefe and montagna as stop gap mids for 1-2 yrs. Our midfield cannot be carried by pendles and beams next year. Plus we need sidey to play of half back . Plus our young mids need an extra year to develop before they are ready to carry the load. I think this will really help our midfield depth

Why dont we make a play for james stewart, swap them any of goldsack, blair, young with exchane of latter draft picks. We are afterall rebuilding so getting stewart along with moore in draft solves our key position area for the next 10 years with both being able to play forward or back.

Really like what i saw of stewart the previous week and he had his moments against us too ( hitting ghe post twice ). Both he and moore hav a lot of filling out to do but potentially they could be fantastic, super athletic talls.

Shame we didnt him take father/son, we took ramsay instead? But better late than never

Not interested in frawley if he is going to cost us big $, dont need okeefe.

Don't understand why people are so harsh on Keefe, he's played less than 50 games.
In case people haven't noticed, the forwards are getting bigger and therefore we cannot afford to let go a 204cm defender.
Besides, the club hold him in really high regard.
