Must severe ties with Casey

Terrible for our youth development

F em off
Should be looking at setting up a standalone VFL team, all vic clubs should be, has been wonderful for our youths development this year it really should be very high on every clubs agenda.

Anyway I came here to ask about Toumpas, whats the go with him? I highly doubt you'd want to trade him this early but just seeing as theres been this talk about "everyone from Melbourne is available at the right price" and I think I might have even seen his name thrown up a few places a while back.

Hypothetically if he was going to be traded what would you be looking for?

You're right in that i highly doubt we'd trade Toumpas now because his injuries mean he hasn't really had a chance to show his worth, and we'd be 'selling low' if we traded him now. Only way I can see that changing if it was part of a huge trade for someone like Dangerfield...

Given Clark is now clearly pawning himself around for the biggest offer - we should be able to trade the prick to wherever we damn well want.

I'm disgusted with the way he's behaving - and that he's going to basically choose which club he goes to.
To be fair, I'm not 100% convinced its Clark that's shopping more his campaigner manager of his.

I've thought this for some time and the dogs youth development highlights it for me

Your youth has been sensational

Yeah its coming along okay, not really transitioned to AFL level just yet but its great to be able to play with the same set ups and structures at AFL and VFL level and develop a good bond and winning culture between teammates at VFL level. Definitely need to look into doing it for sure! Also its great for the fans, we both haven't had a whole lot to smile about (in your case recently, in our case ever...) but our fans have absolutely loved footy being home at Whitten oval again this year :)

As with all supporters
What is tell you he would cost you would say I'm over valuing and I would say nah we got him for pick 4 and then you would try and convince me he's actually shit while still trying to trade for him and then rinse and repeat

Not really. Like I said I don't think it would be a very smart move to trade him at this time when his value is probably his lowest, although you've done stupider things in the past :p

Nah I like the kid, wanted him badly in 2012 and while his start to his career hasn't been too great it must have been pretty hard coming into the league as an outside mid in your midfield, and obviously a bit of injury trouble too. Just wondering what it would take to get him seeing as I've read things like all melbourne players are up for grabs for the right price and what not. Think he would fit perfectly for us.

The Frawley pick is pick 3.

And a million times yes.
Ah thanks for the clarification. If I was in charge of the Swans recruiting I would take that as I really want Sam Durdin at the club since Richards is at most 2 years from retirement (probably less). With Heeney, Mills and Dunkley all coming through we actually can afford to trade away a really good midfielder (Hannebery) and a player that has shown he has potential in Jones in order to draft for a specific need in our list.

By the power invested in me by no one would Melbourne take Hannebery and Jones for pick 3 (or even the Frawley compensation pick)?
I wish you were in charge because I would shake hands on that immediately

Hell throw in Tom Mitchell and we have a deal

What about that stringer kid who went later in the draft?? Hasn't shown much either

Straight swap?

In all seriousness , me personally would let toump go for a top 10 pick
Others wouldn't entertain It

Only way he leaves is as steak knives in a Big trade

I actually think it is a fair deal for all concerned as you guys get midfielders, one of which is a proven talent and the other of whom has shown promise in admittedly his limited opportunities and the Swans get access to the best KPD in the draft which is something we desperately need as well.

Unfortunately I can't see you guys wanting to do that deal.

You won't need pick 3 to land Durdin anyway mate. Pick 6 or 7 should still be enough - possibly even 10.

Waste of time talking to the doggies I reckon.

We want elite mids, and can hand them the best KPF in the draft - but they won't want to break up their group of young mids who are coming through.

Macrae is the one I would be after.

Durdin could go from anywhere between 3 and 10 so it is impossible to know for sure. Plus I doubt what we would have to pay for pick 5 or 6 would be substantially less than what we would have to pay for pick 5 or 6. Plus I would rather the Swans traded with you guys rather than Carlton.

Yep. Macrae or bust. We need top tier midfield talent, not more just decent players like Hrovat.

Stringer doesn't have the engine to play there yet , he is very dustin Martin but I think he is even more dangerous close to goal
Is guess he kicked 20 odd goals this year? He is basically everything Colin Sylvia should have been

Yeah we wouldn't give up either even if you offered a number one pick for each, they are exactly what you're looking to get with that pick just with 2 years development
