You do realise a tigers guy was the one who proposed the trade, then we said well yeah we would take it and now we are getting shot down by other tiger supporters
Yeah i know. I was just providing more examples of draft picks not retaining their value.

I would happily take Trenners at the Tiges but I think he is worth a late teens early 20's pick with his injuries ect...

I was talking this season partner, maybe tune into how he was going prior to being suspended , lol jack watts
I'm sorry your superior grasp of the English language failed to draw me to that fact.

What you did say is that he averages 2 goals a game in an "indifferent" year. Well wrong.... He's averaging 1.9 and its comfortably his best year, so id say far from indifferent.

It's sad that when the saints roll the mentally fragile tuggers this weekend we'll end up on the bottom of the ladder... The only splice being that these flogs will be back in their self deprecating holes.

Apparently 3AW reporting that MFC wants 5 picks inside the top 20, with all of Watts, Toump, Grimes and Trengove on the table...
It will be interesting for all clubs to see if this comes about. Just how quick does someones value drop or escalate. Kids playing kids dominating looking like stars , but marginally older kids , still struggling to come to terms with the higher level and they look ordinary.
Injury can affect any players rating , Trengove pre injury showed he can play. Will that group gather top 20 picks now? I wonder. Clubs at the top would have compare what they think would be available in the draft and how quick the Melb player could have an influence.

Is Trengoves injury recoved good enough to get a R1?

How quick is Toumpas? When I watched him in the champs he looked more like a distributor than someone like Salem who can break lines.

I'm not sure if Geelong would want to use their R1 on a trade but its possible if Wells rate the player I suppose. Grimes would surely be plug and play and we need a bit of youth and run in our backline.

This I just my opinion but Grimes is going nowhere. He is captain and whether you like it or not was voted into that position 3 times by the players. I'm all for doing whatever it takes but surely canning a captain who was voted in 3 times by his peers is going to have a negative effect on the group.

Grimes wasn't voted in as captain under Neeld, he was appointed by Neeld along with Trengove.

Jack Grimes is the worst onfield captain in the AFL though, not in ability but in leadership

I definitely remember grimes being voted in by the playing group at least once or twice. I am all for him being removed from captaincy but my point is you don't trade your current captain.
I think the way they did it was the players voted for the leadership group and then neeld picked the captains from there
I agree with you though, grimes going nowhere

Toumpas and Trengove would be; Watts would be lucky to crack 25. Grimes could get around 20ish I think.
You say that, but Watts is the only one of those guys who has 'elite' anything - he'd get the most value of any of those players.

If he can't crack pick 25, then the rest certainly won't.

It was the bulldogs last night
Its kind of a nice changeup from slagging off Jack Watts and crying about the team

If Essendon posters come on here all high and mighty then so help me god
I'd like to think we are a touch nicer than Richmond supporters :p :)

Id say Grimes has above average to elite intercept marking when he is in form, but yeah apart from Grimes the other 3 all have potential to have elite qualities but havent shown them consistently or at all ( toumpas )
Worth the punt if you have a good system

Also with no actual factual knowledge im betting Sam Blease ends up at the tigers next year

Watts has struggled to string more than a few good games together and has plenty of well below elite attributes. Trengove, provided he comes back from injury well, should at the least be a good, consistent player; maybe worth a late teens pick if a team backs themselves (and him) to get back onto his pre-injury trajectory. Toumpas hasn't shown much but has been injured and a team with a solid inside core could take him as an outside distributor and he has plenty of years in front of him. He's probably the riskiest of the lot, but could offer big rewards; would he have depreciated that much from his pre-draft value? Melbourne is a hard team for a player like him to shine in. Grimes would be the safest bet and would be a solid addition to most backlines so could get around 20-30.

20ish was able to get Dawes and Wellingham so I would expect the same for Grimes

Who cares, really? A change in wind direction has a negative effect on this playing group. I couldn't give a **** about the players mental state right now.
