Clayton absolutely seems hell bent on him. Not sure why albeit him being a great prospect. Clayton usually gets what he wants so keen to see how he manages this.
Boxer would start at most other clubs - we are just blessed with depth at the current time. I'm not as high on Hallahan as others - he's good but I think others possibly have more upside. His desire to stay and fight for a spot makes me want to keep him though - I enjoy a fighter. Same goes for Schoey - especially if we trade Cheney, need to keep a reserve defender.

And that's just next year.

We need to think about 2-3 years ahead, when Silk and Hodgey are gone, Mitch maybe as well, and we're screaming out for a 25 year old big bodied inside grunt midfielder, and we watch him smashing it for Gold Coast, and say "Gee, we didn't learn from Josh Kennedy"

I'm a little bit annoyed repeatedly reading, when discussing a player "Who's place does he take in next years best 22" It's not just about best 22, and it's not just about next year.
IMO, Hallahan is not and never will be as good as Josh Kennedy. Woody, on the other hand...

its a no brainer isn't it? trade shoey for adelaides pick 31, use it to pick up a mid
i reckon the club is trying to weasel itself into one of the bigger multi trades as well as keeping the interest in Lowden/Schoey/Grimley/Cheney/Hallahan up in seperate deals, things will hopefully happen once the Ryder/Beams/Griffen trades get out of the way

i think we might trade more than the obligatory 2 players we need to trade off, could be as high as 4, but more likely 3 players......we'll wait and see, trade time generally under-delivers, so we might not even trade 2 players and have to delist them for others to get for free.............trade week is such a tease

Mate , any 19 yr old has a long way to go ........
wasnt Tim Watson a regular at 15?, makes you wonder how many champions have had their career shortened by not being able to play AFL at 15-16 like in the old days, food for thought.............
