Could there be any interest in Jeff Garlett or Mitch Robinson? Both seem to be on the table...would come fairly cheap? I couldn't see how either would be best 22 however we could do with a back up specialist small forward for when Cyril isn't on the park.

Are you fu€king serious? Mitch Robinson wannabe tough guy, no thanks. Jeffrey only if he learnt to tackle and stacked on muscle, makes X Ellis look like Batista.

No to both. As evidenced in the past week, they have no discipline in and out of the game. You don't want players like that in a side/club. No matter how good they may be (and even that's a stretch).

Especially applies to Garlett. Guy just doesn't strike me as a player who's head is ever in it. Consistent brain fades, and incredibly inconsistent form. Those types of players don't win premierships.

Not interested in Garlett at all and couldnt see Mitch being anything more than depth. I'm sure Clarko likes the way he goes about it minus the brainfades and late night outings but I'm sure the latter us probably due to Mick telling him and Jeff that they are not offering either a contract for next year. Keeping in mind he would only be taking Simpkins spot I wouldn't pay more than a 3rd or 4th round pick.

What about Casboult hes not re-signing at the moment.

He has some spudliness about him especially his kicking but geez he can clunk a mark, something we lack.

Robinson's disposal, even under no pressure, is appalling
No chance Clarko would take him with our precise kicking game style

Garlett is a downhill skier, but I'd offer a late pick and have him for depth

Jono O'Rourke? Has a Dom Tyson feel about him. Certainly hasnt had the same level of impact when he has played, but has had a lot of injury troubles/interrupted pre-seasons so far in his two years which always seems to undersell their ability.

Good midfielder in his draft year. He was a top 3 pick but that only really tells us where GWS was happy to nab him. Could be a 2-10 type pick really.

Thought?

Apparently every Victorian club is into Jaksch from GWS. Our first rounder (Depending on the Higgins/Frawley compo picks) is more likely to be around 20. With other clubs unlikely to part with their first rounder I think 20 would get it done. Jaksch was pick 12 and can't get consistent game time due to the amount of talls, GWS have apparently. Next year is the year to grab quality mid/s via a free agency/out of contract scenario.

Welcome to Hawthorn Kristian Jaksch. You will love this kids marking ability Hawks fans. Why take a speculative pick?

Got any AFL level highlights? Not that he isn't impressing in that video but I'd like to see how his marking goes against bigger, stronger bodies.

I think he has only played a dozen or so games and has been in the system for a couple of years as a tall. Not sure how is AFL games have been. If he can add size and translate that marking ability you would have the next Brian Lake.

That Denham idiot on SEN said we are chasing a GWS mid. Any idea who it is?
If he's like most of the other idiots in the media, he won't know, it's a lazy way to make a statement without having to back it up. Let's be honest, everyone is apparently after GWS midfielders, so it's not a stretch to say we are too.
